:D Yes! Someone who agrees.

It is terrible. I don't bother any more. The look and feel is poor. It is difficult to navigate around. And like you say, all the activities you upload are logged as a run despite specifying otherwise.

Challenges are below par too. Last time I looked there wasn't a challenge relating to elevation. No elevation? Elevation is what makes cycling difficult!

Strava challenge coming up - 5000m between 2nd and 10th November, whilst I'm in Tenerife. It's meant to be off road so may annoy some MTBers doing it :D

I'd have gone for that if I was able to cycle in that time. Sods law when they have a good challenge I'm not able to ride!
Bored off all the 'how many miles in a month can you do' ones. Prefer the climbing challenges, or distances in a relatively short period.

Snapped. Twice ?

Yeah, obviously something I do when taking chains off ruins them as they always fail fairly quickly after putting them back on and I end up buying a new one. I'd taken it off to fit my new hanger and derailleur yesterday. Probably didn't help that i didn't index it all and rode in like a single speed.

I ended up scooting along with one foot clipped in the last couple of miles to work, must have looked like a right pillock, haha.

Anyone else of the opinion that the Endomondo website is utter garbage?

EVERY time I uploud stuff from my Garmin, it logs it as a run, despite me saying it was a cycle event. So I have to manually change every ride.

Also, my stats aren't updating on the challenges either. The table was updates 30 minutes ago, and it still says the same distance as last night, despite me uploading since.

And my distance is about 500 miles short of my actual distance covered this year too.
yea mine is the same and my monthly stats aren't updating at all as well as the challenges....

look at the monthly stats...
look at the 50miles of rides I did in the past few days....

strava is far superior!

I like how endomondo has the
Personal Bests

Cycling, sport
One hour 12.46 mi
10 miles 45m:35s
20 km 59m:54s
50 km 2h:49m:00s
but I think they stopped updating as well......

I don't think strava has anything like that? maybe premium does but I don't really cycle enough to warrant it yet..

yea I'm slow :P still getting faster though managed to sprint upto 24mph yesterday :O
my comfortable pace is about 15mph now :D

my average is pretty slow because where I ride along the river a large part of it is on paths like this and usually I'm riding on an empty stomach so hit the wall where your body starts burning fat which slows me down a lot but right now I'm cycling to lose weight mainly so it's the best option for me I guess

and you get a lot of people walking on them sometimes bus loads of old people getting a day out lol

Almost gave an old couple a heart attack yesterday with my bell lol so I've started just riding up to the back of them and saying "excuse me please" I don't want to give anyone a heart attack lol

I've just deleted my account as I was sick of the way the site worked & the huge amount of fake workouts on there.
I've used Garmin & Strava for the last couple of years to track my rides, but uploaded to Endomondo for the OKUK challanges.

Not if you want your hands to stay dry :p

Just received my Craft extreme windstopper baselayers. Fit seems great, and should allow me to continue wearing some of my lighter/summer jerseys throughout winter instead of doubling up on more winter jerseys :)

I thought the idea of neoprene is to get wet hands but stay warm. Downpours like last Sunday would penetrate any "waterproof" glove I think, it certainly got through my Endura Strikes!

I've got a couple of windproof base layers which I've yet to use. Since you can't remove mid-ride, I guess if you don't overheat they are more useful than gilets which generally don't have pockets.

My neoprene gloves seem to work like that. You tend to sweat in them a bit so even if it's not raining much you feel like your gloves have leaked. Still stay nice and warm though.

I bet some people stick there bike upside down and pedal like crazy as well and then claim it was a trainer.

don't see the point tbh, it's like going out on a motorbike to get coms

how fast can you guys go on a flat straight short straight? one of the segments near me has someone clocked at 40mph

The best I've managed on a short, flat segment is 2nd place (it's hard to get KOMs in London).

I averaged 30.7mph for 45s. No drafting involved but there was a strong tailwind!

I'm a climber not a sprinter.:p

I shaved 4s off my time of my favourite Strava segment, taking me from joint 6th to joint 4th :)

Segment details:

0.8mi
Distance
-1.2%
Avg Grade
242ft
Lowest Elev
294ft
Highest Elev
52ft
Elev Difference
Ridden 1964 times by 587 people
My time:
1.32 (32.2 avg)
KOM:
1.26 (34.5 avg)

I reckon I could do better too, because I wasn't up to speed when the segment started, and I may have eased off a little early.

So 32.2 average for 0.8 miles, including accelerating from ~22mph.
