This guide will allow you to play the game early for your time-zone, you will gain access to the game at the same time Americans do, which is in roughly 14 hours after this post.

Now, before I get into the guide I want to say the following: Steam will not ban for using a VPN. The only reason they will ban for you using a VPN is if you use it to get the game cheaper from another region or sometimes if you constantly switch your VPN location, Steam can lock your account since to Steam it appears like it has been accessed from a number of different countries in a short time span.

Now, to the guide.

BEFORE USING THE VPN AT ALL, NOTE THAT YOU CAN ONLY CONNECT TO A TRIAL ACCOUNT 3 TIMES A DAY, SO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T USE THEM UP BEFORE YOU CAN UNLOCK BORDERLANDS!!

1 Pre-load Borderlands 2, you can do this already regardless of your country.

2 Go to the FlyVPN (VPN software) download page and grab their client, I recommend the 'Lite' download as you don't need any special features.

3 Go to the FlyVPN trial page and note down the free trial account username/password (NB: The trial account changes every 20 minutes, so if the log-in details don't work, the account has probably changed - go to the trial page again for the new password).

4 Exit Steam.

5 Put the trial username/password into the FlyVPN program client and hit connect.

6 Connect to a US node, this causes your connection to appear to Steam like you are in the US, allowing you to unlock the game at the same time they do.

7 Open Steam again, log in and run Borderlands 2 in your game library whilst still connected to the trial VPN.

8 The game will unlock, exit it once it has done so, set Steam to offline mode and then restart Steam.

9 Enjoy the game! It will have unlocked now and you can close FlyVPN.

(Note: If you go online in Steam after unlocking it, the game can sometimes relock, so the decision is up to you.)

Any questions, just post them here.

Took 2 mins, up a running

Oh and use Japan VPN/Asia rather than US

I can't play it at the moment, makes me feel sick as it's locked to the right side of him and very little left side... Same as Dead Space!! Thanks Consoles :(

The fov is awful, it's almost up Batman's backside!

Played about an hour and it's awesome, well so far.

Running smooth on gtx 670 every on highest setting and physics. Around 50fps+

Can't make my mind up using 8x MSAA or TXAA. MSAA does appear to be sharper but more of a performance hit by 10fps. With TXAA around 60FPS+

Agree with FOV comments above

Find this file "Startup.swf" that is located in AO/singleplayer/bmgame/movies and rename it.

As for the FOV(seems fine to me), but if you want to change it, and sort out mouse smoothing, follow this guide: clicky

My problem is that I don't have any voice to go with the subtitles, in fact if the subtitles were not enabled by default I might not have even noticed that there wasn't any voice....lol, have read that a restart fixes it but have restarted it 4 times now.

Hour and half played, completely maxed out and in 3D. Game looks stunning and buttery smooth, pity i'm crap at these sort of games though, never did finish asylum or city but think i'll stick with this one.

I'm going to have to go back and check the other games now, but I'm sure in this Batman walks much more stiffly than before.
I'm enjoying it, but somehow the combat doesn't flow like in previous games and the effects when bashing through walls and using the explosive foam stuff seems less substantial.

I don't know, I can't really put my finger on what's wrong, b ut the whole thing just feels 'cheaper'.

Don't get me wrong, it's minor, I'm still enjoying it very much and I'll probably spend most of tomorrow on it, but it just doesn't feel as polished.

From the hour and a half I've given it so far, I reckon and 8/10, previous games were probably a 9.5....

Still a great game, if you liked the others, you'll like this :)

Well, I can't play it like this... have deleted it and downloading again to see if it fixes the sound... :s

No voices I could deal with, but soon as I got into combat I noticed that my, and my opponents, attacks had no sound too.

A deaf bat is a dead bat.

I got this game free with my gfx card but the code wont work when I fill in all the boxes it either says game redeemed or fill the correct catche box thing with the jumbled up letters.

must have tried 20 times or more and don't want to have to buy it for £40 when It should be free.

Any ideas guys ?
