Really confused by this, I left my previous employment on the 19th of September. I only worked there for 5 or so weeks and they pay the month in advance so I got the whole pay packet for September plus the days I worked from the previous month. (worked it out to be about 6 shifts)
So, I basically owe them money as they paid me for shifts I didn't work. However, they paid me today for the whole month of October when I haven't been working there.
I don't need the money so I've just put it in my savings account as I know I'm going to have to pay it back unless their payroll is as useless as their training program. (They even posted me the wage slip so they know I'm not working there
)
I've been talking to a few friends in relation to it, two of them advised me of a law when you can choose to pay back the amount monthly for whatever you can afford, is this true? I can't find much information anywhere in relation to this online so not sure if this is still in place.
I'd probably just pay it all back in one go anyway but just seeing if anyone can shed any light really.
