According to an internal NHS mail I saw earlier the is expected to be a "1in20" storm (a storm the likes of which is seen once once every 20 years) Sunday/Monday, and Hospitals have been told to be ready for an increase in casualties as a result of expected 70-80 MPH winds and possible flooding.

Yep we've had that as well. Also as we're Public Health England we're seeing a ramp up of the prep of other emergency procedures related to "critical population events". Various bodies do seem to be taking this one seriously.

Just did my emergency shop - bought 100 tins of various, 20 litres of UHT milk... tea bags, 20 litres bottled water and some treats as well.
