Its the towing missions.

Tonya had once sent you a message to help her out with a few other tasks. Call her, and you will trigger the mission.

There are 2 total. For the second one, Tonya will call/message you after a few hours, and you can accept it then.

Its part of the strangers and freaks.
 
Well I finally completed it last night, loved it, what a great story.

Ended up with £38 million per character, now to play the Lester missions and make an obscene amount of money.

Q) In the credits
(when it shows various parts of the city) it shows an rrea that is all colourful and has hints about spaceships and aliens, where is that?

You know you can just quick save on your phone right? I don't think I've ever saved a game by going to a safe house, no point at all.

I do now!!! All working well with quick save thankfully. My current favorite tactic is to nip to the helipad near the marina and wait till a helo arrives then nick it and head off around the map doing things. :)

However, I'm now at the stage where I'm having fun just running around doing the odd side mission here and there before advancing the story further. I'd like some advice on making more money from anyone who has some tips? I'm at the following stage of the game:-

I've just planned the freighter heist and have stolen the mini sub. The Cargobob mission is marked on my map but I've not done it yet. Both Trevor and Michael have brushed up their flying skills at the flight school. I've done the first heist mission at the jewellery store and the green 'L' icon for Lester is showing but I've not visited that yet to advance the story. I've also purchased McKenzie airfield and done a few drug plane drops and bombed the enemy gangs drop zones. And lastly I did the random events mission where the reward is a large sum of shares from the young guy you return the mountain bike to.

What do I do next to make money? Stock market stuff? I've no real idea where to start??!!
 
This is probably the first game I've enjoyed enough to want to do all the side missions and just generally mess about, Have finished the story mode now but I still want to play it. Usually i'm done with a game after it's completed but this just makes me want to play more! Endless possibilities

If you want real money wait til you complete the game and then do the lester missions with franklin.

I dread to think how much time you've wasted going to safe houses every time to save :p

Money making: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/gr...5-billion-lesters-assassination-missions.html. I didn't do anything special other than following that and all my characters have 1.9 - 2.5 billion dollars each.

Ta, thanks for the link. I'll give that a bash. Kinda annoying that you can't really get massive amounts of cash until you complete the main story though. Would have been nice to be able to afford a few more properties and some other cool expensive stuff while you were still playing the main game. :cool:
 
Yeah I know what you mean but I never felt like I needed to buy anything. Plus it means there's something to do after the main story is finished (buy all the properties, planes, boats, etc).

I wish they'd put in a feature whereby you can plan your own heists but limited, for example one every game month because you need to lie low or something. The free world is amazing but then it equally feels very small and linear when the first staged heist is just a normal jewelry shop and yet you can't rob any other stores for serious money.

Also nowhere near enough open buildings. You can't even go in some of the ones that you can buy!

Sweet, thanks, I flew over with the chopper last night but was too far away to notice anything.

Did my stock market stuff last night and have got $2 billion with Trevor, $1.96 billion with Michael and $1.89 billion with Franklin.

Time to buy some property/businesses.
