Hello all, as the title suggests why can this card be picked up for under £400
It appears to match the specs of other brands cards which are twice the price?
What am I missing here ?
Thanks all

The cards are all the same, but XFX warranty is poor. If the retailer refuses to help you with the warranty, you're screwed basically, as XFX won't want to know.
The retailer cannot legally refuse to help you. A warranty is in addition to your statutory rights. You should sort any problems with the dealer direct and any dealings with the manufacturer should be dealt with by the dealer. A customer going direct to the manufacturer is not recommended as you will void any rights under the sale of goods act.
I've paid the extra £30 and gone for the 3 year warranty. Just have to wait for the car to come in to stock.
Try telling the particular retailer selling these cards that If they actually verify the problem, the chances are they'll offer a 25% refund or something rather than a replacement. I've had to go down the legal route before to get them to follow the law, and no longer use them.
A car for £30...
I would not personally buy from them. £30 is a small price extra to pay for better service that OCUK provide.

At the current prices the 7990 is tempting me a lot, such superb value.
And as for that other retailer I've had great service from them, had my MSI GTX680 replaved twice for the same fault (once within a month of purchase then again after 18 months) and they processed the whole thing quickly and efficiently. The ASUS card was right decision however (can't comment on OCUK's service as I haven't bought from them in a little while, although around ten years ago I accidentally ordered two of the same CPU's and would've been charged a 15% restocking fee for returning one so I auctioned it instead).
OcUK had change of ownership over a year ago. This can be clearly seen in our google ratings improvement.
The value on this card looks great and I am very tempted on the ASUS version listed on this forum with the 3 yrs warranty
I guess now my only concern are noise levels, I have been very used to a Gainward 680 phantom which I purchased here, has been great, low power, runs very cool and so so very quiet.
I would be so very annoyed to purchase something that made a racket.
So Noise and heats levels would be a concern.
Thanks
