mega storms uk next week

Coincidentally booked Monday off work, kind of glad I don't have to do my usual B-road run at 5.30am, its a dodgy route on the best of days with the amount of mud on the road.

The gusts are really picking up in Norfolk now. Wonder if it really will be as bad as they forecast tomorrow. Worked out nicely as I'm not in work till Wednesday :)

Why is thread full of people saying 'lol its not even bad outside' despite the fact the storm isnt due to get here until the early hours of Monday morning?

I'm not expecting it to be half as bad as they're predicting. :p

Sure we might get some spells of torrential rain, but we get that anyway. It's the wind that would make this interesting, but I'm expecting it to only really be rough nearer the coasts rather than inland where I am located.

Got Monday off as well :D (not intentionally) wouldn't want to be heading to work if it does get proper stormy - way too many big old and dilapidated trees alongside the road to work.

For some reason I keep imagining this storm to be like that from the movie day after tomorrow.

COME ON STORM WHERE ARE YOU!

This is what I predict...

Sky News make everything sound like the end of the world.

I remember the swine flu outbreak. They was almost telling everyone to write their will!

Starting to get very gusty in Sussex, all ready lost the power briefly twice for a few minutes. Guess I am going to be sitting in the dark tonight, it only takes a butterfly to break wind with 5 miles for it to go out all night.

Tops of trees rustling in the breeze at some random service station on the M5 at the moment.. Just left the NEC.
Overcast but not raining (ground is wet)

BORING!!
