Had 2 deliveries today :-)

Congratz they look a great match, did you get the upgraded air ring with 8 holes? Not that you'll need it with the 3.1. :)

----------------------------------------------

Also I've tried the bamboo wick in an IGO dripper and it wicks very well and has no weird taste.

The juices I've tried are Gorilla Juice and Vaping Kings Caramel Latte. It is slightly more fiddly to put into a microcoil than cotton as the wick is only 1mm in diameter, but folding it over twice and using a small hook made from Kanthal it goes snugly into a 3mm coil.

The wick absorbs a lot of juice and it delivers it to the coil sufficiently to be burnt. The KFL and Russian 91 are full atm, but once they run out of juice I will re-wick using bamboo and report back in a week or so to see how the wick holds up. But flavour, juice delivery and absorption wise this is better than cotton imo.

Wick in IGO hybrid dripper and the little hook I used to thread it into the coil :p

If anyone want to try some, trust me and I'll put a few metres in the post for you.

Some kind of gp paps?

Just bought myself a EHPRO Telescope, supposed to be a nice clone. Fingers crossed

Now to sell my 18650 cube mod

Gotta say now i got the hang of coiling and wicking my KFL, im in absolute heaven. Currently vaping banana creme and it tastes so so good...much better than the protank. Think im going to keep the protank for my custard juices ie Kings custard and GVC and leave the KFL for my raspberry and banana creme.

Only thing i have a problem with is that i overfilled my KFL so now getting leaks and gurgling noise :(. Tried the upside down blow with a tissue at the end but that doesnt help lol.

My Aga-T2 came today, as did wick, mesh and wire.

I tried a few regular mesh wicks and had real trouble. Pretty sure I didn't have the centre post tight enough so as I screwed it onto the mod it was twisting up my coil.

Tried a silica u-wick which actually worked ok but that's when I really noticed the coil was twisting.

Thought I'd leave it alone for a bit, went and played some xbox, and tried again:

As a total noob I'm still not sure I've done a half way decent job but it seems to be ok. I've only had a little bit through it so far and not really sure what I'm doing with my Vamo and this, but the Vamo says it's 1.2 and it seems to be going ok.

Because I'm stupid I filled it with a new juice which doesn't help with finding the right wattage! I'll keep using it and see how it goes.

It's ****ing fiddly though this is my first tries at it. There were about six or seven total fails with brutal hotspots that would make the wire ping and snap, that got me a bit ragey. Main trouble seems to be not knowing wtf I'm doing even remotely at any step of the job... strange that :D

I got loads of samplers from Joose Juice as well and they pretty much all smell amazing. Currently steeping. Need to stop just smoking menthol all the time, bored of it.

If PBusardo can make a coil and wick with his stubby fingers anyone can lol
But practise does make perfect and some people pick up the technique quicker than others. I still don't understand how or why custard does not work well in the kfl for you. Maybe if it has a VG ratio a primer pull is needed to get it to wick better.

Oh and here is a video for you to watch :p

No idea as to why the custard type of juices dont taste too good in the KFL, ive asked around and have had people say that the KFL doesnt suit custard type of juices. All my juices are 50/50 and i always give a primer pull before screwing it onto my provari.

And yes practise does make perfect, now i dont lay my wicks on the deck but rather leave suspended above and it seems to work as im pretty sure i was blocking up the juice channels on the KFL so was getting a burnt taste no matter what juice i was using.

Still no luck on trying to source a Russian lol...

Right, it's time for me to branch out. I'm deeply unsatisfied by my novas now, and my RSST is too fiddly to get working well.

SO: I'm looking at getting a Nemesis or ChiYou clone and some sort of dripper to go on it for my out and about setup. What cheap dripper would you chaps recommend that would look good on a nemesis or ChiYou?

I'm on a super tight budget unfortunately, but if it's worth a fiver more for something good here and there then I'll spend it.

Got to laugh right now. Sitting here while a couple of colleagues are having statements taken by the office manager after one of their cheap eGo type cigs exploded yesterday.

So annoyed that I wasn't here to see it, but apparently he had it charging when he noticed it was smelling funny, and was too hot to touch.

Someone else lifted it with scissors and took it away. Upon setting it down, it apparently flared up extremely brightly and then BOOM. Exploded all over, fluid leaking out of it ate through the worktop and everything before going up in flames.

Don't buy cheap guff, folks!

I'm kinda bored with my cheap chinese eGo + CE5 setup, I want to get something bigger - I'm thinking of grabbing the Vamo V2 w/ Sony batts kit off of fasttech and then a couple of Protank 2's from vapeescape, but I have a question regarding the PT2's heads.. can I buy them with the wick already attached? Or do I have to wick them myself? If I have to DIY, can anyone recommend me a clearo\tank which'll accommodate the size of the vamo and is stainless steel looking.

Cheers

You can get premade heads for a few quid, but it's cheaper to rewick yourself by a LOT, and you could make better coils/wicks yourself.

Any guides on rewicking?

And cheers for the heads up - I'll just get the body kit then. So essentially, I just buy the "Vamo V2 Variable Voltage Mod / E-Cigarette Battery Compartment" part, and then snag some 18650 batteries and charger from Maplins\amazon\wherever's cheapest?
