Agreed, it doesn't really add up, unless EA now own the IP themselves. If that's the case I'm surprised that wasn't made news earlier.

Didn't make my response clear sorry, my Sony "rant", was about others saying how its "typical MS " throwing money at stuff, that wasn't directed at you at all.

Both Sony and MS will throw money around as much as they can to make their console a success. The only difference is that MS have more money to throw around.

God knows mate, it could be RE trying to save face, but we will probably never know!

I am glad the Xbone boys will get this, it looks a great game, I will still buy it on PC. Was just hoping I could enjoy it on console as my PC isn't the best :)
 
Exactly...its good in some respects to have decent exclusives, Devs get money up front to pour into the title, gamers get good games.

Difference is now is that Sonys pockets are quite shallow.

Im not a fan of Respawn/IW actions, they seem to get themselves involved in contracts that they end up hating and then publicly air their dirty laundry...

Considering they jumped from EA to Activision as a publisher previously, what were they going to expect?

Im really tired of all this developer obfuscation weve seen for this console launch. Call a spade a spade or STFU...

Actually, if you worked for this guy, would you not be asking him some serious questions about how he let that happen and had NO CLUE ( those I don't believe that for a second) what was going on regarding the companies big title and its current contract!?

Issue some are having with this deal isMicrosoft haven't bought exclusive rights to the game for the XBox One or bought the IP, as is multi platform inc PC. What they have done is pay EA NOT to publish the game on a rival platform which kind of seems anti competitive or a sleazy thing to do. Buying up IPs, exclusivity is one thing, but paying to remove a game from a rival platform is kind of low.

...so paying for a title to appear on just your platform is fine. But paying for a title and giving your customers a range of platforms to choose from is bad.

No, paying for a title to specifically not to appear on a rival platform is bad that otherwise would have.
