How's 4.3? Much smoother than 4.2.2?

TW 4.3 is actually now running extremely smooth and fast on the note 3, stock rom , I've never experienced TW run so smooth. It's pretty much flawless.

My charger started making a high-pitched hissing sound first, the sound persisted even when unplugged. Shortly after that the battery started to bulge in the middle and the phone would crash numerous times each day.

I contacted the seller (Chitter Chatter) first who told me they would need everything back (Phone, battery, charger etc.). They also said that if I was to go through Samsung support directly they'd also need me to send off everything and that I'd get the phone back 2-8 weeks later.

Chitter Chatter offered to lend me a very basic phone in the meantime but I decided to buy this instead:

The Anker batteries work brilliantly and "seem" to have a slightly longer life than the genuine Samsung. Also, I've not had a single phone crash in the time I've had them.

Once I've got hold of a decent temporary phone I'll be sending the S4 off to Samsung for a replacement battery and charger. Maybe even a replacement phone as well.

Contact the shop you bought it from, request they send you a replacement. Chances are they'll have to replace the whole phone rather than just the battery, but either way you get a nice new one :).

As far as I know, the phones are all new enough that you can deal directly with the shop and not have to deal with Samsung, as this can (from what I've heard in the past) be quite a long and annoying process!

Samsung might have an issue on its hands with the battery on the Galaxy S4, at least in European batches, which it apparently acknowledged, and is offering free replacements for those affected.

The story began when many owners of the Galaxy S4 started bringing theirs to the carrier they acquired them from, complaining from overheating, endurance degradation, and even straight-out swelling of the unit. Half a year since introduction, the issue seemingly reached endemic proportions, with carrier insiders reporting up to 30% of their Galaxy S4 customers coming with such complaints, so not isolated incidents.

Samsung has, apparently, issued a statement for Trusted Reviews you can see below that they are aware of the issue, and everyone affected will be compensated with a free replacement. Has any of you experienced something similar with their Galaxy S4 unit?

"We are aware of this issue, which has affected a limited number of customers. We ask all affected customers to please visit their nearest Samsung Electronics service centre, where they can receive a replacement battery for free of charge. We remain committed to providing the best possible user experience for our customers".

My nearest Samsung Service Centre is at Carphone Warehouse, which is about 5 miles away. I'll be popping in there next week to get a replacement.
 
** deleted, my phone came back to life.. This is the second time im trying 4.3 and both times I have had serious problems.. Is it trying to tell me something? :) Going back to FH 2.0 **
