*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

So will the Ps4 have netflix or bbc iplayer?

No DNLA isn't a big issue for me as I gave up with the DNLA media services on PS3 since getting a smart TV etc, and MP3 playback isn't an issue either

but no netflix or BBC iplayer - erm kinda used those on the PS3 as they worked really well.

yes, i should upgrade the drive. Anyone know if it prefers 5400rpm like the old ps3? or is a 7200rpm what it wants.

Cos i should order one sooner rather than later.

How good are we expecting these launch titles to look?

My concern with most of the games coming out at launch are also current gen titles, I was looking at Lego Marvel SuperHeros and Fifa, do we expect these to really look all that better? I'm not so sure?

I think most cross gen titles will suffer here. There will be improvements but nothing will look anywhere near as pretty as the games that have been built from the ground up like Killzone or Second Son. BF4 looks decent but I bet the next version will look tons better.

It's very cool that you can swap the drives on the PS4. When I get one I'll definitely look into swapping the drive at the start to save doing it later down the line.
Starting to think a 1tb drive will be a good thing in a few months when ps+ can really kick into action

Killzone is the only game to me that looks next gen

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. Just means more money I have to save up!

Dead Rising does as well in a way IMO, as there is no way either Xbox 360 or PS3 could have rendered all those zombies at once in a huge open world. Just a shame it started life as a 360 game as I'd love to see how it would look if it were developed for the One from the ground up.

Killzone does look awesome though. It's even making me want a PS4 sooner rather than later.

Agreed on both accounts, DS3 wise, No loading times from what I could see. Dashing around no pop-ins, no stuttering and so many zombies on screen. Definitely a next gen feat. It's not all about the graphics!!

Fifa is supposed to have improved graphics and game play. We'll see though.

It does look better from what I've seen, but I find with most sports titles the difference isn't as big graphically as it would be in say a shooter or open world game. The exception is NBA 2K14 though, as the next gen graphics on that look stunning.

Well, I'm well angry at the lack of MP3 support. My PS3 has been used to play Music almost as much as it has been used to play games. So now I have to buy a flippin HiFi or something which I really don't want to have to put in my rooms.

I need music and games running through an exceptional sound system in 2 different rooms.
So now if I buy 2x PS4s and 2x surround sound systems I'll need 2 ways of listening to music on top of that.

Utter BS.

Shuhei Yoshida tweeted he's finished Knack this morning, I asked him how long it took him to complete and he stated 10+ hours. That's a pretty safe answer, but can't imagine it being much longer than that? Still undecided on Knack, roll on the reviews.
