Yes I suspect so. Will be keeping an eye out from 25th or so.
I imagine it should stay as 1st class but charge the £2.05 or whatever it is.
For me it's never about having it on the day, it's about being in when it comes. My nearest courier pick up is a 90 minute round trip so it's rather important it comes on the day I expect it to so I'm in!

I remember when I got my 360 on launch, it had been in a cold warehouse overnight and I waited for the console to reach room temperature in fear of turning it on and getting condensation lol!

There were reports from users in the US I think that had bought them in the cold at night and discovered they were almost wet inside the box
Pretty sure that console will be despatched in time to arrive on 29th in most cases - this is the norm for pre-orders, after all.
Agreed that couriers are going to have a busy day, though, and I too will be setting up camp by a front window! With it being Friday, wouldn't want to miss Mr Delivery Man and possibly end up having to wait until Monday

I have the day booked off work and will be setting up camp by the front door to wait for Mr Courier to arrive
I have the day off for my One delivery, and I have a camera connected to my TV that looks out of the front of the house (so I know whether to answer the door or not). I'll probably have that turned on while I play games on the laptop waiting impatiently for my order to arrive.

This reminds me - I must double check my doorbell and make sure it has good batteries in.
Also, hopefully it's DPD as they are great because I'm bang in the middle of buying a new build house too that's ready to move into which I want to be in ASAP. Luckily i'm part-exing with another property and not the one I'm living in, and will rent this one out to a family member but it means If this goes through soon I won't have my entertaintment with me.
DPD give me a 1 hour window and are always on schedule for me.
They also offer live tracking online with GPS so you know where the driver is and can calulate when they will arrive. It's usually 20-30mins behind but very handy.
Fingers crossed it's them so I don't have to wait around all day in the house it's delivered to. Not risking changing the address now!! haha

"we were able to speak to a Sony rep today about if any of these features could be implemented in the near future and much to our surprise we have received a “Yes“. The future update that is in process to be rolled out shortly after the PS4′s launch(November 15th) will include the following detailed features listed below:
Legacy headset support
Mp3 support for not only in-game but non gaming as well.
Suspend and resume play feature
All of these features are set to hit PS4′s consoles by late 2013- to early 2014. Which we hope Sony will deliver sooner upon. From what we know these features are being packed in the 2nd forth coming PS4 firmware update. Also these details were hinted today when Shuhei Yoshida made a post on twitter stating that he had a discussion with other PlayStation 4 development team members about received feedback. With this news being provided Those these features are a definite step in the right direction. We were still unable to confirm future external hard drive support for media or game data would be supported later on. lastly we’re still waiting to hear if there will be future YouTube support for video sharing. What do you think of this good news do you think Sony still needs more features to claim the living room in this next gen console war? comment below let us know."

But anyway, many people consider it not to be 'next gen' as it is underpowered compared to PS4 and Xbone (and more on par with last gen PS3 and 360). But then Nintendo's consoles are generally behind in terms of computing power. Just look at the Wii.

I love that they've added mono headphones in the PS4 package. Should be great for stuff like BF4.
Most home cinema amps have multi optical inputs, as an alternative however you can buy a switch. I use an optical switch for my Astro Headset and just switch between the devices with the remote.
Do you guys think it will definitely lead to more voice comms usage? One thing I noticed is a lot of the Xbox gamers talk about third party headsets so I wasnt sure if many actually end up using the bundled stuff. For me it might be perfect as its an earbud I can easy put under my cans - more than acceptable til I see what the next gen alternatives are...

It will at least bridge the gap until we know what headsets work and which don't. Hey it's a free way into VOIP which you can't really argue with, even if it is a little low budget.
