That's what the PS+ cloud saving is for. ;)

Yeah, but I hope they add the option to backup locally too. All this Cloud business, sometimes I'd rather just be in control of saving stuff. If the Cloud was to mess up, I'd lose all my save games. By the same token, if my external HDD was to mess up, then the Cloud would be a benefit. Just dont like the idea that the Cloud will hold all my save games over the years and could one day mess up and lose everything, at least with a 2nd backup on a HDD all may not be lost.

You wouldn't lose everything, because you'd presumably still have the files locally on your console.

Anyone importing a Vita TV ? They are out in a couple of weeks.i,m thinking of getting one in but i need more info on any region locking before ordering.

Killzone Shadow Fall confirmed as 60FPS with 1080p resolution
03 Nov, 2013

Sony's flagship PS4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall will run at 60 frames per second, with a resolution of 1080p.

The news was confirmed via the latest PlayStation Blog podcast by SCEA social media manager Sid Shuman, after much talk of the resolutions of both Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts on both PS4 and Xbox One.

"Killzone Shadow Fall's campaign is a visual stunner on PS4, rendering a smorgasbord of reflections, dynamic lighting, and billowing smoke at a razor-sharp 1080p native resolution (1920 x 1080)," said Shuman.

"Then there's the competitive multiplayer mode which, like the game's campaign, runs at native 1080p and 60 fps."

It was previously confirmed that Battlefield 4 will run at 900p and 60fps on PS4 while Call of Duty will run at 1080p/60fps. On Xbox One both games will run natively at 720p with 1080p upscaling.

Killzone Shadow Fall is a launch title for PS4. It sounds like it's probably going to be the most visually impressive out of the three FPS titles on the latest consoles.

Decided to cancel my PS4 pre-order, nothing other than KZ interests me at launch and I can't justify buying that and the Xbone which imo has the better launch games. Will pick one up in the new year once the delayed games come out.

The campaign has been confirmed to run at an unlocked frame rate (rather than the 30 people originally thought). Wouldn't count on it maintaining 60, but I guess they mean it can go up to that.

I did the same, KZ is the only PS4 exclusive I want and all my mates are on xbox. I will probably get one pretty rapid though.

Ended up putting the money "saved" towards a better TV.

Same, I might just wait for a price drop on it tbh.

haven't paid anything towards my amazon pre order but its now less then a month before I have the machine (hopefully in my hands)

I'm more interested in the games and the vita remote play, wonder how killzone shadow fall will work on vita considering the vita has a few less buttons then a ds4 pad ?

It'll be patched in, stop worrying.

DC was the thing which sucked me in, because I'm intrigued by what the new tech can do for my favourite genre, and DC sounded like it might be a bit more of a sim than most titles. This was always reliant on it working with my G27 though; can't stand racing with a controller.

So I've been letting my £20 ASDA preorder lapse. But the swine keep giving me a deadline to finish the order, then another deadline, and now I'm on my third deadline, which is making me weak. I mean, what if the PS4 really *is* a lot better (in long term performance potential) than the XBO and it's hard to get hold of a PS4 for ages once the news gets out?

But realistically there's nothing apart from Resogun which intrigues me now, and as a PC gamer the only full price title I've bought in recent years is Last of Us. And while that was worth every single penny, I'm not really in the market for full price single player console games (I'm not into multiplayer at all), and it makes sense to sit back for a couple of years and wait for some discounts, and for the dust to settle... and the hardware bugs to be ironed out!

So I just need to be strong and ignore ASDA's emails for another week or so.

Actually another factor is the strength of Sony's PS+ offering for the PS3. I have quite a few good titles to investigate now, so there's no pressure to move to the new console. They've kind of shot themselves in the foot there, a little... though serious console gamers will have a much bigger games library and be getting much less benefit from PS+. So I may be a niche case here.

The performance delta between the two is large in favour of PS4, massive in fact. I can't have another gen of smeary 720p and one of them looks to be only providing that.

MS have form for dropping support for a machine that isn't doing well, so I don't trust them not to drop and run at the first sign of restless investors.

Which is already happening.

What is the chances of getting one of these on release if you haven't preordered ? I live in what is considered a large town with 3 large supermarkets and 2 Argos's... I'm banking on people forgetting about Argos in this town as they always seem to when it comes to stuff of this nature, ie, it'll be sold out everywhere and people will be running round trying to get one, Argos will be sitting there with like 10

Lets hope that if it came to that, they released a new rather than dropping out entirely. Competition is good.

If it's anything like the PS3 then the Vita will use the rear touchpad for R2/L2 buttons and the touch screen for the DS4's touch pad.

The game cases look quite fancy:

Same size as the PS3 cases, just without the blank plastic bit featuring the Blu-ray logo at the top.
