The hand covering speaker is my biggest gripe so far, however I do find it less of a problem if I switch it 180 degrees, but it still covers it a little bit.

I wasn't expecting to have a working replacement so soon, so i'm a happy guy! I reckon other devices will get this, or a version of this, when they get the 4.4 update. I can't see other manufacturers adopting Hangouts as their default messaging app, instead it will probably be limited to a Play Store download or will only be loaded onto Nexus devices by default.

Yes the 16Gb is pretty cheap SIM free but the 32GB is £339 and I could buy the Galaxy S4 for £414 direct from Amazon (no dodgy sellers), this is only 16GB but not an issue as it has the memory card slot and I already have a 32GB card ready to drop in.

Best use of dodgy maths ever to illustrate a point.

If the S4 is £414 for 16gb then the Nexus 5 is £289 thus making the samsung phone nearly 50% more.

You can not compare apples and pears, although your example does.

I can see where his thinking is coming from though, the S4 has expandable storage so if you've already got the SD card then it sort of makes sense.

£350 VS £388 is very similar if your after the 32GB.

Side load as normal. When opening it for the first time it will prompt you that Hangouts is currently set as default. You can now change that in Settings and disable Hangouts if you want.

same here! :) won't work, downloaded the GPX from the phone and uploaded manually, guess it needs an update before it works properly with 4.4
