Getting a Polo BlueGT - In Black or Blue? Help!?

It was an example - there are other similar cars available. What about a Mini Cooper S? It'll drive quite differently to your Polo which might satisfy your craving for less boredom.

Changing a 2008 Polo for a 2013 Polo because you are 'bored' just seems like a completely bizarre idea. It's still going to be a Polo.

Its not that I'm bored, I just want to change car. When I test drove the MK8 it felt very different to drive and I enjoyed it, so thats why I asked.

I am open to suggestions

Polo to polo for 10K to save on fuel and get a change? Lol. Get an Audi A1 or Mini Cooper or a Golf or Scirocco or BMW. Anything other than another Polo. I really wouldn't worry about MPG. If the cost of fuel is a concern to you I would invest in a push bike because fuel is only going to go up up up.

Fox has summed it up well and I agree wholeheartedly with him.

10k to change to a slightly upgraded version of a car you already have is silly and you'll get just as bored of this one as you have with your current one.

If you have 10k to spend then do something better with it than plough it into nigh on the same car that's going to lose all this money in depreciation anyway. You're not upgrading to something epic like an M3, just going to a slightly newer version of what you have.

Keep the money, save some, go on an amazing holiday, buy some techy things, just don't spend it on this Polo because you've got nothing else to spend it on!

I also have a 9N3 polo GTI, and to be honest the only upgrade I can see is to something like a Focus ST or Mazda 3 MPS (Need a hatchback to put the dog in otherwise I would be all over some sort of coupe).

I can understand the thought of wanting a different car but I wouldn't try to justify the change by the fuel savings.

How about putting £300 into a remap and some other mods to get a bit more enjoyment out of the car? Pretty sure the 1.8T is good for 180-200bhp with little problem.

OP you really need to think about what you are actually doing here. Throwing 10k at practically the same car you are already bored of is not a smart move. Go test drive some other cars before pulling the trigger.

Id definitely has one of these over the fiesta ST, the fiesta may be a fair bit quicker but its pretty ugly and has a far worse interior than the polo. The cost of one of these is enough that you could have a far nicer used car for the money, I'd be looking at a nice 2.0TSi Sirocco (Used) with some optional extras at this kind of budget.

There's 5 petrol Sciroccos under 10k on AT in the whole of the UK, this would suggest that's the arse end of the market.
