hi guys, its coming up to my b-day shortly, and im looking at getting a new case.

i currently have a phantom 410 in black&orange. (not my fav colour :( )

anyway, im looking for something that will take ATX mobo, plenty of cooling. and has a huge side windows, so everything is on view.

has to have good cable management :)

budget is upto £140

i was looking at the 750D, which is perfect, but just checking to see if there is anything just as good, or looks better for the same price or even better, cheaper! :)

so, what do you guys recommend ?

Jonny

That is one nice case, do you know if the cable management is good ?, looking a the pics, is dosnt look like there's a lot of room.

i have a TX850 PSU, non modular :D, and there is 10,000,000 cables on it lol, and i only use half :(, so i need somewhere to stash them out of the way :D

i was looking at that too, it does look the part, i must say!, and you cant really get more room for stashing cables away more than the 540 lol.

the only thing that puts me off, is the size. with a atx board, and a 7950, 4 HDD's psu etc etc, dosnt look like there will be mush room for air flow.

plus ocuk dont have them in stock :(

Have you factored in the cost of any fans the case won't come with? Or do you have some fans you plan to add?

Just a consideration you might need to make if you have not budgeted for it.

i have plenty of fans :), appreciate the thought/idea though!.

there nothing special, but are quite, and produce good air so im not fussed.

If you use all the cable tie mounts on the rear of the motherboard tray and are neat enough then the side panel should go back on without trying to "bulge" out

I can give you an idea of how much room is behind side panel of the ronin easily..

I aint good at cable management ;) (At all!) No bulges at all!

But the inside is amazingly pretty cos thats all hidden :)

750D gets my vote, I love mine!

Best case I have ever owned in my 15 years of PC building!

^ Cannot agree more. I am chuffed with my 750. It will have less room for excess cables than 540 I would think though.

If the 540 was released in the Obsidian range of Corsair cases I would have been seriously tempted if i didnt have my 750D. The 540 just lacks the build quality with too much plastic and lack of good 3.5" support.

the ronin looks like its got enough room for cables, and is cheaper.
i love the 750D because of the build quality and the size of the window. and space..!
i also like the 540 :D, because it would look better in my living room.

so now what do i do :(

do i build 3 pc's :D lol

gunna have to think on this one !

thanks guys for the help :D, its like choosing what car to get.. because once you decide there's no going back!

I'm getting my 750D tomorrow, will be upgrading from a 550D mainly for bigger space and better airflow. I'll let you know my thoughts once it arrives, also if you have any questions for me about the case feel free to ask :)

ok, thank you :), appreciate that, sort of like a personal review.

there's no questions that spring to mind at the moment, but ill have a think :)

thank you!

The plastic frame of Carbide was one of the main reasons why I chose 750D. It will be lighter than Obsidian for obvious reasons though. If you do many LAN parties that is something to consider. And the looks of Obsidian cases hits the right spot between subtle and yet quite flamboyant for me.
I think the 540 will have marginally better cooling though!

Just to be clear though I'm batting on the side of the 750D though ;)
