*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Hmm the fan points downwards (presume it pushes air as a turbine backwards though) - it seems when the PS4 is normally horizontal most if not all components are upside down. The fan seems to be located in the front lower right quadrant...

EDIT: BD drive and HD are normally orientated though :). Looks very much like the PS3 with regards to what components you need to move if you want to swap the BD laser or clean the fan - thats good...
EDIT2: Really does look like 12.5mm tall HDDs could fit in there too if the SATA connector is the same height as the 9.5mm HDDs - hell Id say Sonys lying looking at the space you have within the HDD cage

EDIT3: Damn doesnt look like the fan can be removed without removing the whole mobo and sundries, hoping as its upside down though that dust will collect in places where it wont cause additional heat to build up - might be why its upside down

If this has been asked before I appologise, but will the PS4 Eye enable players to video chat to each other and if so can this be done while playing games??

Watching that video had me drop into work mode and started talking to my self about ESD and working in an EPA, need more time away from work.

Not surprised to see the PS4 innards look so beautifully engineered compared to the Xbox, after all Sony is a hardware company.

What I find surprising is the PS4 being more powerful in a smaller box. Microsoft scared of the RROD fiasco with the 360?
