Now I have youtube how I want it. No link to google plus and no google plus account.

There was nothing on my g+ account anyway, just a username a black sqaure for a picture and no other information.

You sure about that, cause I cant see anything that allows me as someone that would upload vids taht I can get away from G+
 
I can't even use the comments anymore. Even though I'm logged in to my account, when I click on the comment box nothing happens and I can't type. I don't have, nor do I want, a Google+ account.
 
Well my google+ account that used my real name has now gone and I cannot find it. I changed my real name to nipple twizlers on it and then deleted it. My youtube account now has created a new google+ account using just my youtube name.
 
I prefer the new comments because you have more chars and a few more features, but still not that great. I just give google+ fake information so i don't realy see it a big problem, although it is annoying that i kept getting prompted.

Haha same, although I guess at some point they will no longer let me leave it till later.

Isn't the whole using your real name thing supposed to help prevent online bullying? (I don't agree with it btw, just thought I'd heard that was one of the reasons behind the change)
 
Google are really desperate to peddle this aren't they? Wish they'd just accept Google+ is a nonstarter and move on.

They can't. There is too much money/info availble by having users pour all their personal info into their servers.

People use youtube, if they can force them to use youtube (and do comments) under their real name, or at least linked to their google+ account that is their real name, then suddenly all the moronic youtube comments and video watches are linked to real peoplethen suddenly you can start to profile these people quite accurately. Profiling leads to more accurate advertising and better chance of people actually clicking the adverts and buying something. Probably because google will know what you want before you know you want it.

I think Google is about as close to the Mom corporation as we've got so far. Unfortunately I'd be quite lost without the google products so I'll just have to settle with no longer being able to make youtube comments or uploading videos. Nevermind.

Yeah, plus, I don't like the fact that you now have to click the small 'x' on every bloody annotation that appears. Annotations are overused, and I want that button back that turns them all off in 1 press... bang.

You can still turn them all off, but in two clicks. Great change guys!

This is what I did a few days ago as I got seriously fed up with the constant "link to your your google+ account" popups.
I have noticed its now decided to use my gmail account avatar on the reply box instead of my YouTube avatar which in no way did I ask it to.
Grrrrr
Almost thinking of deleting Google account altogether now!
 
Ah balls. I have an old YT channel linked to an old gmail address. I was happy with this. I then stupidly linked my main gmail account with YT to reply to a video and now it says if I want to delete it, I have to delete my main gmail adddress?!?!?!

It is totally pants on head retarded.

Just managed to delete my stupid Google+ account.
