*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Haven't owned a console since the days of the ps1, last console i owned was a wii u. I tend to get stupidly excited when i order something and then when i actually get it, it feels like a complete let down lol, so i am hoping my excitement is justified, keep checking ps4 news every day, and keep looking at the calender on my pc several times a day expecting it to have changed to closer release date, got a feeling that after the first week of owning the ps4 im not even going to use it lol

I just phoned Tesco and they have no idea yet as to their allocation therefore they couldn't confirm when I'd take delivery, but oddly did say I could place an order for the Killzone Bundle which goes against what there own website states....

If you go through the website and get to the checkout it mentions standard delivery will get it to you by the 5th December (2-5) but that date is not a confirmation of stock being allocated to your order.

I was just looking at Tesco but it mentions the following on the Killzone bundle

This console is only available to pre order by customers who have previously placed a £20 pre order deposit order.

I read that to mean I can't order it.

No.

It means it will only be delivered on day one for people who enter their pre-order voucher number. Anyone else can order but delivery date is not confirmed.

I certainly didn't have to enter any voucher and mine is confirmed and email received.

If the delivery date slips too much I'll just cancel. Going to try to get one on day one at a shop anyway (unlikely I know but I might be lucky)

The killzone bundle, is it actually a special box? as in like the wii u zelda bundle, or will it be a normal ps4 box with a loose killzone game outside? All ps4 boxes seem to be standard ps4 boxes

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the gym threads are full of man babies! Even the mods are at it there.

That Xbone box says "Engineering Sample" on it. I don't think that it's representative of the final product somehow. :p

They just need to cover everything in another plastic sheild like the PS4, that extra layer will keep the components from getting too cold.

Shrouding to direct airflow correctly is fairly common, a lot of laptops, server blades and server boxes will have some form of shrouding to help keep things cooler.
