I've gone back to dalvik and now whatsapp won't install. Sounds like I need to clear data but how do I browse root without rooting?

That happened to me, I used root explorer (I am not rooted) and went to Storage/Whatsapp and deleted the .database folder and it installed.
I had made a copy of my Whatsapp folder before and copied it all back over after.

You can do it by plugging it in to your pooter and doing it that way also.

Got my spigen neo hybrid case today.....it's nice quality and all but there is one massive flaw.

It is impossible to connect any headphones to this device with the case installed.

Today Chrome has decided to eat my battery, its use is higher than the display...

Swipe that thing away.

I'm getting great battery now I've disabled Google Now, though to be honest I was getting good battery before. 2% loss over 7 hours is better than either my S2 (on CM x) or my S3 (on Omega's Samsung-based ROM or CM10.2) could ever wish to get (I think the S2 managed around a 5% overnight loss, though I think my best for the S3 was around 10% loss).

I'm currently sat at 26 hours, though with just the 1 hour 16 mins screen-on, with Dashclock's battery widget suggesting another 45 hours of life at the current rate (unlikely to hit that, but it's strong anyway!)

Screen-on time will need more analysing, but I'm super-impressed with the idle battery life so far... it's just a shame Google couldn't optimise Google Now to use less juice, otherwise I'd happily keep it enabled.

Very impressive, I'm still on 70% been on 14h 26m and 1h 50m on screen time. Google now disabled. I won't be charging it tonight to see how long it can last.

Clearing the data of Google play services and Google framework has made a massive difference.
