*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

After playing with my Nexus 5 all day, it's much more enjoyable to use than my Note II.

The colours on the screen are far better (accurate, like the Nexus 7), and I don't get the ridiculous grey shift that AMOLED screens get when viewed slightly off centre.

It's also much quicker and smoother to use, and has a nicer form factor.

Yes the speaker is quieter, but nowhere near as bad as I had heard reported (it lack any bass at all though), and the camera is slow to focus, but overall I'm very happy.

For all the people faffing about trying to change the dpi to get more icons on your screen, just use something like Nova Launcher to do so without mucking up the rest of the system.

86% with 1h30m screen on time, which I'm not convinced is right as it's not had any charging cycles yet.

Not had it long enough to give any real comment on the battery, but I will be using it this week and sending it back under DSR if it's disappointing.

guys, as this about my 8th android phone I now have about 8 micro USB chargers, ranging from 650mha to 2a. Can I use any of them without it having any negative effects on my N5 battery?

The N5 charger is 1.2a I think.

Decided to give the battery a test after doing the Maps and Google Play services tricks posted earlier on the thread. Charged the phone to full last night and unplugged the charger before going to sleep.

Woke up this morning and the phone was on 99%, since then I've had an hour and a half screen on time mainly just some browsing. I'm still on 85% with 15hours since I unplugged the charger.

This was using ART with Google Now "On", screen brightness set to "Auto" and location mode set to "Battery Saving".

Pretty impressed with the battery now, will easily last me a day even with heavy use.
