try and continue Dark Souls, or start Dragons Dogma dark arisen

The PC version is the best version, and I use my wired 360 controller for it. Still have my 360 version as well though as I keep meaning to go back and get the rest of the achievements (I already have all 1000 on the PC).

Nice :) yea ive only thought about it due to some frame drops on ps3 especially when i was in blight town! Can you pop it up to 1080p on pc?

What is New game plus?

You start the game again from the beginning, keeping your level and items. All enemies are tougher. The first half of the game is a breeze as you seem really overpowered compared to the initial enemies. The 2nd half of the game becomes more challenging.

Yup, a simple 30 second patch (DXFix) makes the game look absolutely gorgeous.

Oh that's quite cool.

I'm probably just going to start again as a mage as I have no idea how to even use magic at the moment.

Magical characters start out fairly weak IMO (as spells have a limited amount of casts), even though the spells themselves do a fair amount of damage. By the end of the game though, if you focus on Intelligence and get the best spells, Mages can destroy virtually every boss in no time. I killed the final boss in the game in a single hit with one character (in fact, I killed all but two bosses in a single hit in that playthrough).

NG+ is pointless imo. Little to no reason to go out of your way to pick up items, which detracts from the experience.

It would have been epic if NG+ could have some kind of randomizer, which dynamically changes the items in NG+ based on whether you picked them up in your first playthrough or something!

Or more multiplayer invasions or lots of black phantom invasions

or in certain places the enemies are entirely replaced with insanely difficult enemies e.g. the big room before the painting to get to the painted world of aramis has a bunch of those knife throwing wussies..replace them with jumping demons or 10 mini taurus demons and thats a nice surprise for someone just thinking its the same ole level hahaha

Thanks mate ill pick up the pc version then as that would look much better!

Having played this far i will finish but i think ive decided i would like to be a bit quicker on my feet and faster with weapons so maybe lighter armor and dex weapons may be the best bet for my pc play through?

I think I must have been really over-levelled for everything I did. Apart from the Bed of Chaos, which I screwed up by going right first, I pretty much 4-5 shot every boss, even the last one.

The hardest part for me, by a mile, was the Gargoyles. Just... argh. Horrible. Must have wiped 50 times.

It is different for everyone. I found the Gargoles incredibly easy, but struggled on some bosses others found easy. Took me ages to beat Capra Demon first time I played it!

I wasn't overlevelled really by the end, but I did have a fully upgraded Uchigatana, which meant I could pretty much just hack away at any boss and finish them quite easily!...I still struggled a bit on Gwyn though, and Four Kings, until I just used Havel's gear and tanked it.

I can't really remember what I struggled on during my first playthrough, but I know I did in places. I played it before the 1.4 patch nerfed the Crystal Ring Shield though, which I used to destroy the last few bosses in no time. I think virtually every boss has the ability to cause people problems though, bar the Taurus Demon (he's a pussy!).

I struggled loads on capra lol
Just pwned the four kings before work lol it was on my mind all night bloody dark souls

I upgraded my man serpent sword to +15 and just rushed to take them out before another would spawn, actually had to wait twice for the next one to spawn :)

I think demon ruins is my last place for lordvessel souls

I think the easiest boss has to be the Gaping Dragon. It's genuinely difficult to actually get hit by it.

Yea i agree, but as said before here its different for everyone, my mate recently started playing and that boss gave him hell but he ****ed past the capra demon and i was the opposite :)

The boss at sens fortress was easy for me too and the butterfly and wolf, others have taken a few tries for me. Pinwheel i got first time and the gravelord took 3 goes! I suppose it depends on the player and how they approach situations

I think Capra is the most infuriating simply because of the dogs with him. Capra on his own is an absolute breeze, but the dogs can break your guard leaving you open to Capra's rather powerful attacks. Getting rid of the dogs is definitely the priority when facing him.
