Bioshock 3 - Infinite

I've been playing on normal & finding it quite easy.. but that's fine as I don't have enough time to beat my head on harder settings:D

Subjectively speaking? I'm really enjoying it. I actually quite like the narrative & the art direction is excellent. I'm all for big floating cities! I'm terrible at finishing games though so we'll see:/

haven't bought this yet i bought the 1st game but it got too complicated too many options to increase this and that weapon too many power ups was the same with deep space series as well.

I come from 100s of house of MOH:AA where the weapons didn't require power ups. I realise that this is what people want now but I can't really be bothered trying to figure out best combos e.g. you have to use A with X monster and B with Y monster etc. Am I alone with this POV do any others not really bother with the power ups and just play the game with basic weapons.

Bioshock was artistically a great game and didn't really need the powerups.

I wouldn't be upset if there wasn't the ability to power up weapons but I think its a fairly nice addition to some games. The only problem I have is I worry about wasting upgrades and wanting them for something else later, so end up not upgrading things as much as I could and having lots of whatever currency is used for this at the end of the game...

But generally I just upgrade the weapons I end up using the most, I don't think you have to put huge thought into it if you don't want to.

As for having to work out which combos are best for each enemy, while there are some that can be more effective I think you can still kill most stuff the way you want (especially if not on hardest difficulty), so you can still play your way and its not really the case that you can only beat certain enemies if you work out an exact combo, which would suck.

Yay, finally a date announced for Burial at Sea episode 1, November the 12th.

Can't wait! Shame its about the time I start a new job, and also the same week XCOM Enemy within comes out, I guess it would be to early to throw a sickie. :)

Sweet, this could be quality.

Talk about publisher apathy towards PC gamers again  £11.99 for the DLC just released or £15.99 for the season pass....hmmm I wonder what they are trying to do here & what they are trying to force PC gamers to buy

Hmm confused after watching the IGN review. Why would there be
skylines
in rapture.

Suppose I'll wait for it to drop, no doubt in xmas sales.

From reading up on it, it's set before the fall of Rapture, which would explain why there are certain "things" to use from the infinite game. looks excellent though! will purchase it on payday me thinks

Just read this is only 90 mins long. I know it's DLC but it's a bit on the short side for £12.

Is that all :(

I was going to buy the season pack, didn't think Infinite was very good but was really excited when I saw they were revisiting Rapture. Will hang fire until I find out whether its worth forking out for then.

Yes there are
skylines
in Rapture. If you collect and actually listen to the audio logs then the similarities between rapture and Columbia are explained.

I just finished playing it and honestly if you enjoyed the Infinite then you should enjoy this DLC. It has a nice blend of aspects from Infinite and Bioshock 1. As well as a nice twist at the end :).

90mins? I played it for just over an hour and I can't imagine I'm at the end of it, just got into some combat :p

I suppose I'm taking my time and making sure I miss nothing out.

Enjoying being around Rapture again...it is a two parter though so potentially part 2 will be a larger portion.

Anyone else came up across some major graphic glitches? I just got into Cohens party and the graphics went insane. All the textures are warped and impossible to identify. Totally game breaking.

I didn't have any major graphical glitches like that. The only one that I had was Booker's arm clipping through Elizabeth when I knocked on the door to Cohen's.
