AMD to bundle Battlefield 4 with Radeon R9 graphics cards

Hi there

No such promotion at OcUK, unless AMD sort something separately.

Right now they are expecting companies to make fresh orders for cards with coupons, which won't happen as what are companies supposed to do with old stock?

Though new stock with coupons does cost slightly more.

But until AMD give us some clarification, this promotion is not live at OcUK unless a product clearly shows BF4 in the free items listing, so don't expect otherwise guys.

Could you clarify this please Gibbo, are you saying that even though the price to the end consumer 'might' not change, the supplier charges you more for products with the free game codes?

If this is the case the free game codes are not so free after all, which in its self is not that surprising.

Will be disappointing if I get shafted for being an early adopter. :(

It's the risk you take as an early adopter. I learnt my lesson with the 780. Whilst I did pay a shade under £500 I still got shafted when the recent price cuts came in just after I put it up for sale!

First and last time I'll buy a new gen card so close after release. Only time I've ever done has been a 2900xt and 780...stung both times :p

Not really news, I would prefer if these free games were never included and the card prices were reduced accordingly.

BF4 is not FREE, it never has being, you can see this from R9 290X cards, the BF4 cards carry quite a premium, that's because BF4 aint free to us or you. ;)

So yes there is a slight charge.

UPDATE: Never settle codes can only be re-deemed against current Never Settle games, the new games will be a new campaign and the old codes won't work against those games, so get those codes re-deemed before they expire. :(

So much for Never Settle Forever! I knew it would happen though.

Ive told them customers are very very upset about this, probably fall on death ears, but hey see what they update with and see if your codes work.

Thanks Gibbo. I really appreciate your effort :)

PS. Damn you for putting the Sapphire R9 290 on TWO. I don't need two, but now I want two.

Exactly. It's the same with all 'free' games.

I'd rather they both offer a barebones card package with no games. Sure the card might look like great value with the games but it would look even better with no games. This way the 'free' games don't cloud the value of the product.

bit late for bf4 :(

Me too. Here's a novel idea for AMD, reward the people who have actually chosen to give you money right now too. I could ask them why they value the custom of someone who has been thinking of an AMD product versus others, more than someone who actually chose AMD. Still, 'tis a blinder of a card.
