Tempted to get this to replace my iPhone 5. My contracts coming to an end, so with the money I'll be saving per month by going SIM only I'd be able to buy this. Anyone gone from an iPhone 5 to one of these? If so, what were your opinions?

£13 is cheap but £22 for one made by nokia imo was too good to pass up.
build quality should be far superior, etc.

Did a CPW order on launch day to collect in store, and when I turned up at the shop a couple of hours later they didn't have any. Roll forward a week and a bit and they call me up asking if I want to order one for next day delivery, shame I already got one from the play store!
Hmm, that would explain the missed call from them I had earlier then. I did a collect and reserve on day 1, but when I got there the order wasn't ready and they just sold me one off the shelf.
To their system, I guess it looks like they missed out.
I will find out possibly by the 22nd December... "Shipping time: 3-27 days"
Should have paid more attention...Does anyone know when/if we are going to get to be able to use a 3rd party SMS app?? (I thought I'd read somewhere that it was going to be updated soon!?!?)
I'm really not liking Hangouts - apart from anything else, my emoticons are not showing up in other people's texts!
I used to use Chomp but it crashes when you try and press send! (even though one of the comments is from a Nexus 5 user and the reply from Chomp appears to say it's fixed!!!)

Regarding your question on the iPhone 5 replacement for the Nexus 5, many on this site have already done this and the comments from them were very positive. Feel free to check back over earlier posts. Plus they saved a boat load of money!

Hmmmm, just tried and it works fine but it forces you to use "emojis" and it's just showing up as a small grey square in my speech bubble!?!?!?
Is there no option to just use the "default" smileys etc??

Rookie Android question, what's the best way to transfer SMS's from an old android to new? I bought my maw one of these N5's and everything is fine (apart from the hours spent showing her how to work the thing), but she's insisting that she needs the texts from her old phone. Of course, I'm too used to icloud doing everything for me.

I rarely use emoticons or 'emojis' so i don't really know about that. If it's stock that you want there's an AOSP MMS.apk that works.
