Well hopefully they don't go with the system in EA MMA, really hated that after playing the undisputed games!

A few things were better than Undisputed 2010, but the third game beat it on everything imo.

Except subs one of the older UFC games had the best system imo

Guessing this means that Frostbite is probably going to perform better on PS4 for most/all games.

I doubt Microsoft are interested in mantle when they have DX. I'm sure I read that the Xbox one will not be using it and will use only DX ?

Which will mean PS4 will end up as the lead console if it isn't already since the API is similar to Mantle which EA will be using for all their Frostbite games.

More than likely but tbh I think Mantle is going to be a bit of a let down and a buggy mess tbh. AMD are not the best at releasing decent drivers or software.

Haters? elaborate. As for PES its terrible, i could go into detail in comparing screenshots and gameplay and prove it regardless of the licensing.

If Valve get their way, DX over on the PC could be over in the coming years... Valve, steam OS etc..

What with Mantle as well, doesn't look all that rosy for MS at the moment apart from Xbox.

But this is the PS4 thread, if the frostbite engine is being optimised for mantle and PS4 does take advantage, then I'm sure MS will be taking notice.

The presentation constantly stated that most of the things mantle does aren't tied to AMD and could be implemented on other GPUs, so I doubt they will cut out Nvidia users.

Yep, but isn't Nvidia helping Valve get Steam OS up and running for games, streaming services etc for Linux? So its interesting times, however yep Mantle will be an option or built into games if AMD hardware is detected much like Physics X for Nvidia...

We'll have to see how it all plans out..
 
I'm just watching the NFS: Rivals stream and it actually looks really good.. it wasn't a game I was originally planning to get but I changed my mind a little while ago and now I'm looking forward to it. You can't really get the best feel for the graphics on the stream but the guys playing it on IGN are saying it looks awesome.... 2 weeks to go :)

Hmmm i really wouldn't bet against Valve, they've already had Creative Assembly, 4A games and also the developers for Project Cars saying they'll release their games for Steam OS.

There are now over a hundred Linux (AAA + indie games) over on Steam right now.
