Asus Rog Mars 760 coming

Wow, I can't believe all the hate for this card, does it offend people that much? :P

I have no interest in one but I can appreciate it for what it is and what it does to the market, it's cheaper than a 780Ti (quite a bit if you compare it to a non ref cooled 780Ti) and gives equal/better performance, it's cool/quiet, it's only £80 more than a pair of 760's (DCii) in SLi (way lower premium than GTX690, HD7990, GTX590, HD6990, etc), don't want one then don't buy one, its simple ^^

Get one! My 7990 welcomes the challenge of a dual 760 Asus Rog card.

It does seem odd. Who would buy this dual card over a 7990? It may become a great test of Nvidia fanboyism :p

Looks like they will price it higher than it should be if the 600 EUR is to be believed.

Of course it will :) its being over hyped... reviewers left right and centre say its as fast or faster than the 690 for all the idiots out there who don't know that actually in reality its not, its not even close to a 690. its just clocked way up to make it look that fast on paper, clock the 690 to the same clocks and it blows it out of the water.

The sponsorship money is strong with this one.

A pair of 670 are also way faster, its a GPU for fleecing hardware nOObs.

£520, say ASUS.

EDIT: Looks like similar performance to the 780ti.

So for the price of a 780ti you get 780ti performance with all the extra fun of multi GPU issues, I smell a winner here!

Christ it's got 2GB of effective vram, not sure that is enough on a top end card being released today.

These are now on sale and seem to be around £485, despite all the negativity in this thread I still think it's a cool piece of engineering, its the fastest single card (not single GPU obviously) currently on the market and costs £75 less than a 780ti.

So it does have a point, for someone who happens to want the best single card this is the best new option now the 7990 and 690 are gone (the fact it costs < 2/3 what the 690 did is also cool, especially considering it beats it when OC'd) and for an Nvidia fanboy this is a great alternative to a 780Ti considering it performs better and costs less, plus the final thing that its a cool unique card like the Gigabyte 3D1 was which makes it sort of special to own.

If I was looking for a card today I would probably go for this as I only have room for one card and need PhysX support.
