*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

Its definitely on the way ... Parcelforce now report it as being "accepted/collected from customer" and its at North London Depot. Note: this is a 32MB Black N5 ordered on Nov 7 which was scheduled for dispatch on Dec 11.

No change for me sadly. I ordered on the 11th 32Gb Black

i think i might sell my nexus 5, personally i thought my s3 was just as good and seems the battery lasted longer on my s3

I could never even dream of getting my S3 battery to last remotely close to that of the Nexus 5. The N5 just sips battery if you're happy to disable Google Now and the remote wipe setting (Cerberus is better anyway).

Perhaps when a mature stock-based Kitkat ROM is released for the GS3 it might have a chance, but at the moment it's not even close.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but can any one tell me how much usuable space is on each respective model?

Sorry to be annoying guys, but put my mind at rest.

I know if I bought an S4, I would have a native weather widget (accuweather.com), calendar app and memo app.

Does the Nx5 comes with these?

I know you can download the accuweather app from the store, but it doesnt look like the one that samsung preload on the devices (or is that 3?).

It comes with Google now which can do weather, it also has a Google news and weather app along with Google calendar and Google keep for notes

Does anyone know of a gamepad I can buy to work with games? Some games like football and beat em ups, I just hate having to use the virtual D-pads and sometimes I miss the other buttons. Preferably one that connects via Bluetooth? Thanks.

I've found 2 on the rainforest. One is a Koolertron and the other is a Nyko PlayPad. Both are under £20.

How bloody dissapointing.

I am now eligible for an upgrade with three. But the deals are... well pretty much the same as if I wasnt 'upgrading'. I thought I would be eligible for a price reduction.

You can get the same phone same network cheaper through affordable mobiles.

Even cheaper to by handset and go sim only of course.

Google play services has used 31% of my battery again today and been awake for 13 hours. Strange thing is that it has not zapped the battery at all. Bit strange.
Also I notice in the stock email app I now have 'archive and other folders' at the top of each of my accounts, and they have never been there until today. They show some time and when they don't there is a space at the top of the screen. Wierd.

To those of you using (or who have used) wireless chargers: How hot does the phone get during charging, noticeably hotter than when charging using a standard cable? And does this vary between chargers, are some "cooler" than others, or is it just a standard amount of heat based on the QI designs?

It will get warmer than normal as wireless charging isn't massively efficient yet and that wasted energy has to go somewhere, from the reading I've done it does look like some chargers suffer more than others.

its warm but nothing to worry about tbh.. when not in use the charger looks like a cheap plastic cd case that has no use and it's cold..

It gets warm but u wouldn't call it being hot. Not too bad. Since I have put a case its slightly warmer but nothing extreme I would say.

I am using Nokia charger, it's been perfect.
