Will HMV have them in stock and available for non preorder types?
Agreed on wanting to increase storage and common sense going for hybrid if so, but SSHD is just a bit silly imo
I may be missing a trick but a quick browse suggests that a 1tb hybrid is almost £40 more expensive than its 'regular' counterpart.
I suppose it's 'only £40', but is it just that people really can't wait 5-20 seconds or is there any other benefit?

captain: the price difference between regular and sshd isn't that much, i would say 10%?

Improved hard drive times aren't just about game or system loading times. You'll also find games play smoother (something which can't be measured) as the cache will allow quick access to files regularly used - for example sound samples etc.

I think you're confused.
SSD = Solid State Drive
SSHD = Solid State Hybrid Drive
SSHD is the sensible option, SSD is the option for people with silly amounts of money to waste

I was under the impression that as long as the drive is 9.5mm or under then it's ok
Edit: On the us playstation site it states
PS4 is equipped with a 5400 RPM SATA II hard drive. Users can choose to install a new hard drive so long as it complies with these standards, is no thicker than 9.5mm, and is larger than 160GB.

Not really, unless you save up all the 5 seconds and then are subjected to sit through the combined time as some form of torture

Hmmm not much point for me to switch hd then for awhile, not that big a difference between them, well not enough to bother me anyways

If i was to preorder now (for an xmas delivery), are the bundles the same price everywhere or is one place cheaper then another? Thinking of a console + AC4 bundle.
