*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I wouldn't put too much stock in the estimated dispatch date (and it makes absolutely no difference to you anyway). They'll arrive on the 29th... assuming that the courier doesn't break down, lose your package, or just decide not to bother delivering it, of course :)

Yeah we all know Amazon are not the best at updating things. Nobody else I know says the 27th. Courier wise, I'm hoping for DPD so I don't have to sit in silence listening for the door as I can track them with the GPS.

1 good point for me is that the 30 houses where I live are the 1st deliveries for ALL couriers in the entire town. So my deliveries are always very early and even grocery orders between say 6-8pm always arrive bang on 6pm with all shops.
5 mates are getting it so it'll be up to me to let them know they are coming assuming they all have the same courier (all via Amazon).

If any of my mates text ME saying they have it, then i'm screwed!! haha

Sure, you can track them, but to where...? I have bad experiences with DPD!

My Amazon order (a post-launch bundle, admittedly) still says "we need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate"... I'm hoping for a bit of luck and it turns up on release date anyway! (Ha!)

Well couriers always vary a lot between areas. To be honest, they are all good where I live - even Yodel, who seems to get a bad rap everywhere.

DPD for me show the tracking information on their site but it's about 15-30 minutes out. But I know the route so once I see the van at a certain point in the next town, I know it's about 15-30 minutes from there to me - meaning they are due any minute.

I'm due to move in a few weeks to the complete opposite side of town though so hopefully that doesn't affect deliveries as the 5 years I've lived here everything has been spot on

Anyone considering replacing the 500GB HDD inside the PS4 for a bigger drive or possibly a hybrid SSD? Some good performance gains to be had, just more expense on top of the console.

I'm considering it after swapping a PS3 drive out after using the console for a couple of years and how much of a pain it was transferring content!

Already discussed a page or two back. Seems worth it, but if you're not going to need the additional capacity right away I'm not sure I'd bother.

I used Amazon recently to buy some items, and decided to send one item back (worth about £140).

It was sent back using the Amazon locker-approved shop by my house, and I got confirmation that it had been received upon return. Job done!..... or so I thought! Amazon sent me 2 "reminders" to send back to item, so I contacted customer support. They confirmed it had been received and to ignore the email. Job done!.... :o

I had a final email "reminder" to state that they would be debiting £140 from my account for failure to return the item. As you can imagine, I was not amused! I contacted customer services again with my proof of delivery, and a screenshot of the collect+ tracking page clearly showing it had been returned.

Amazon agreed that it was an error. They'd received the item but not update the system, so I got charged. Thankfully the chap I spoke to was helpful and agreed to return the money "in the next 5 working days" and that was it.

I complained that it was unacceptable to take the money like that when I'd already returned the item AND contacted customer service, so they've given me Amazon Prime free for a year and will upgrade my first order to whichever delivery method I specify.

I'm thinking same-day delivery for the PS4 ;)

Nice little video from Boogie2988, mentions mp3 and media streaming.

I've watched a few of his vids. He seems like a humble and pleasant guy. However, what's his story? He talks about being fat and immobile, etc. It doesn't sit right with me that people complain about weight/size then evidently spend a huge proportion of their lives sitting on their back sides playing video games :)

Edit: What is the camera actually used for? Apart from skype and such?
