Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Try this, might work for sound loop

That is wrong Neil.

change the line GstAudio.AudioQuality 0(may be different)
to:GstAudio.AudioQuality 4

this changes it to wartapes quality audio

Incorrect, 0 is high 1 is low.

then find the line with GstAudio.SoundSystemSize 20(may be diff)
and change it to GstAudio.SoundSystemSize 64
or GstAudio.SoundSystemSize 32(if your sound card is cheapo)

Wrong again. 20 is stereo, 51 is 5.1 and 71 is 7.1 any other setting will default to 20 ie stereo.

saw something mentioned about this, and the "fix" for the sound issue related to the fact that 20 was being the default and the person that i saw posting about it was saying that changing it from it resolved his issues, so he was indicting that using something OTHER than 20 might work for other people.

I am trying to unlock the QTS15 now :P

Got my slugs for the saiga but still prefer my Hawk12G with slugs and Spas12 with Slugs oh the glory.

When your sitting at a choke and 30 people on either side spamming through the only doorway to the otherside because there all silly and dont flank on the outside of the map(operation locker) its epic.

Everyone sits there waiting for someone to push through so they can folllow because there to scared to go!

Instead of waiting I tend to be that person I rush through with a shotgun amongst the fire, explosions, smoke and hails of bullets right in amongst the enemy! and open fire. In the chaos of all the gunfire and greneade exchanges they dont quite see you for a second and you slaughter 5 to 10 people while your team follows.

Its fun being that guy! breach the lines!!! dont be a pussy!

I often flank but when my teams being noobs I do the above and get so many lovely kills :p.

It "may" work for the sound loop crash but will mean if using stereo headset / speakers you will lose some channels from of sound unless always using dolby headphones (for gaming stereo > dolby / virtual > multi speaker headphones) so up to you. However there are only 3 values that work 20, 51 and 71.

All the in game values for BF3 (and so far 90% of BF4) have been decoded by a guy called elementofrpg. There are many many settings in BF3 / 4 that do absolutely nothing. At least 1gb of BF3 data is utterly useless and never gets used lol.

jammy git, when i do that it seems that the rest of the enemy team appear out of no where (checked the mini map before going and theres maybe 7-8 by the gaps) and are just waiting for me, body gets riddled with bullets :(.

That sound setting that defaults to 20 seems to do nothing at all - atleast on my PC changing between stereo and various surround modes doesn't change that setting and likewise changing that setting doesn't change the surround mode. Likewise some people claim its actually the number of sound channels to use but no amount of changing it for me alters the number of sound channels BF4 is using - neither does it fix the sound bugs for me - still get loss of sound on some maps and random crashes that seem to be sound playback related.

A german paper called "Placebo--efficacy and adverse effects in controlled clinical trials." showed in 1999 that placebo's "as effective as active treatment in patients with mild neurological deficits, producing an improvement of about 50%"

So hell, it just might work :D

Also I finally get proper interwebs today, no more playing with 5-20% packet loss. Get my reading glasses tomorrow (getting old) so should be able to see too :D

I've been playing on no explosive locker conquest server for last few days and not had any server crashes. :D

But hit reg is still terrible at times, openly empty clip on to a guy from behind and the guy and turns around and shoots me one shot with lmg.

Game seems to be plagued with "desync" type events - was trying to creep up on a friend who I was on voice with last night to knife him as he had his back to me - after awhile he asks me why I'm not dying as apparently hes shooting at me - on my screen he still has his back to me. When I switched to a gun and shot at him suddenly (exact moment the bullet lands) he turns around and starts firing at me and we both die.

EDIT: That was a single shot from L85A2 and not a headshot to so technically he shouldn't have died (though not actually sure what his health was at before I shot).

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/11/20/ea-asks-if-battlefield-should-be-annualised

EA has explained it has no plans to annualise Battlefield as it doesn't have the resources to make sure there isn't a dip in quality.

Battlefield takes us about two years to develop and so you want to make sure that you're sharing talent across studios, so you keep [the] core talent of the product and the experience for the consumer there. You also want to be really careful that you don't destroy the franchise along the way. You got to make it exciting and different, but at the same time you want to make sure you maintain a great franchise.

LLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL :p

The "experience for the customer" being rage quits, keyboards being launched across the room, laggy servers, crashes, buggy gameplay, monitors being thumped. Oh yes EA please do annualise BF I'm sure that would be a hoot.
