*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

It was 489 for the Mega Bundle + NFS Rivals, but could have got FIFA, NFL, NBA or BF4 I think instead, Marvel is 1/2 price as well. You can also add other bits with a discount as well.

You have to laugh as there are tons of xbone reviews up this morning and the only one posted in the 'official' thread is from a MS troll site.

Def PS4 only for me now.

polygon only scored it an 8 though. lots of reviews say potential but a work in progress. I'm happy enough with ps4 for my needs.

Wonder how much longer till amazon take money and start to prepare for dispatch? can't wait.

Id rather have the 750GB, though Im not gonna change til I see how well those 2Tb drives do, platter density is always helpful...

ps3ud0

That's really sad, but I'm happy he's in a good place with his life now.

It is sad. It's even sadder the fact that people let themselves go just through living a bit of sadness. All he says through that video is "sad, sad, sad". We've all had sadness in our lives. It's how you deal with sadness that matters. It's cliche to blame getting fat on childhood issues. Harsh, but I'm cynical and cold like that :)

Sure, you can track them, but to where...? I have bad experiences with DPD!

My Amazon order (a post-launch bundle, admittedly) still says "we need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate"... I'm hoping for a bit of luck and it turns up on release date anyway! (Ha!)

Dpd new live gps tracking is accurate to about 15 minutes ,but a good feature I have also noticed with there new tracking system is it tells you where you are in the parcel queue.

So you will know if you are next for delivery ,as well as the 1hour time slot.

I really hope Amazon use them for my delivery, their tracking and hour slot make waiting for a delivery so much easier. Not to mention that they actually show up, unlike some of the other carriers Amazon use.

So apparently the frame rate problems with COD on the PS4 is because it's rendering too many FPS haha.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/d...xed-and-whats-not-in-the-cod-ghosts-ps4-patch

Taking the affected clips and running them through our performance analysis tools, we expected the results to show clear frame-rate drops and small bouts of tearing, but surprisingly this wasn't the case at all, with the results showing us a largely locked 60FPS bar one or two minor dips and a solitary torn frame. Furthermore, when seeking through the footage in performance-affected areas we were confronted with unique frames on a consistent basis, thus indicating a 60fps update that we just didn't feel when playing the game.

So just what is going on? Well, a close look at our captures reveals that Call of Duty: Ghosts actually runs at higher frame-rates than 60fps on a fairly frequent basis, despite the video output being limited to 60Hz

Not sure if this has been posted already but The Escapist have put their comparison up of the two consoles.

From that site...

The most distressing thing to me right now, working in video game retail, is the plethora of people asking "Which is better?" To which I always respond, "That's up to you." Its like most people don't even care about the games or anything, they just want to pick the "winning" side, without realizing that it won't matter. In the grand scheme, both consoles will sell roughly the same number of units, and most hardcore gamers will buy both eventually anyway.

The point is, from a gaming perspective, both consoles are the same. The Kinect is cool, PS4's easy sharing is cool, but for the vast majority of players, they are exactly the same. They do the same things, and it comes down to one factor: The Games. Look at the games that are out or are coming out and decide which one fits your style more. Its that simple.

Alternately, pick the one that fits your budget. All I'm trying to say is, enough with the pointless "who wins/who loses". I think the games should've taken up a much larger portion of this review because ultimately that's what its about. Everything else is either a minor benefit, or a minor drawback (because, in my opinion, nothing 'new' on either console is particularly mindblowing one way or the other to me right now.)

Like that.
