I can easily restore just my sms's from GS2 to GS4 via KIES?

One last noob question. The native Samsung weather widget, is a Samsung thing, not a carrier thing? As in if I buy a unlocked/unbranded handset it will come with weather widget?![]()
Generally if it's a Samsung bit of software, it will be independent of carrier modifications. So yeah, it should be included with the phone (although there are much nicer alternatives available!).
Well I have been trawling the app store but havent found any... it's actually one of the reasons why Im thinking S4 over NX5. (As well as battery indicator, battery life, it's similar to my gs2)
.You're choosing the phone just for the weather widget? I doubt you'd find it on the store, as it's probably just loaded onto Samsung phones. It's not really that great though, I've never actually seen anyone using it! Take a look at some other widgets from the store, there's much nicer ones available. Beautiful widgets is one that I've used, but there's literally hundreds available. Searching "weather widgets" brings up loads:

As for battery life, there's not much difference between the phones, but if anything the Nexus has the upper hand there, from my use anyway. Battery indicator isn't something the Nexus has at stock though, but it only takes a few minutes to install one if it's important to you.
Yes, I know sad as it is, it seems to be a bugbear I cant get over.Yes, I know sad as it is, it seems to be a bugbear I cant get over.
This week I have been trying all the weather apps in the store, havent found anything remotely in the same ball park as the Samsung one.

If that's what's important to you, you don't need to justify it. People buy phones for loads of reasons, many stranger than that!![]()
So in terms of battery life, both the NX5 and GS4 are more or less comparable?
i'm also getting battery drain and battery gets really hot when charging!, going to try out foxhound 3.2I'm using Omega v 15.
I was getting battery drain under Google services but I managed to fix that one.
Now I'm getting a bit of drain under 'device idle'.
Does anyone know why this could be ?
Edit: Also is it normal for the display to use so much battery? For example the displays been on for 30 mins, the phones been off full charge for about an hour and 9% battery has gone.
Cheers
Does this usage look about right?
5h 21mins on battery. 33% battery used. 1h 34mins of screen on time.
