I haven't needed it, usually you can find the weak spots quite easily however for tanks that have given me particular trouble I have watched a review on to learn the weak spots so I can deal with it easier
 
There is a mod that makes tanks semi transparent and lets the module hitboxes show. I think that is the illegal one. Hitbox skins are (I think) still legal.

but whats the point?
1. it looks awful, one of things i love about WoT is the look of the tanks.
2. you can go and look up the hit boxes anyway and once you learn then for a few of a nations tanks they pretty much apply to all the other ones e.g. the engine block behind the turret on the KV-1, this is the same for the t150, kv2, kv1s, kv3 and probably the IS line and all other russian tanks(haven't checked these) so i know side on i can hit the engine most shots and set them on fire quite easily.
3. you dont learn from using a hitbox mod anymore than you do from playing and discovering this yourself

He took a medium tank
He wasn't playing the role of a medium tank.
Each tank has a specific role in the battle, the team has 14 other people in it relying on that tank to fulfil it's role. If it isn't going to fulfil it then it shouldn't be playing. If he wanted to sit back on the hill he should have been playing a TD. Not a med. It is not something I did because I wanted a place, I did it because he chose a med then decided to play like a TD when we needed another med to help on the left.

The most frustrating players in WoT are the ones that play the same role in every tank they own. If a tank has a role, you should play to that otherwise you are helping your team lose. What can I say... I don't get annoyed easily, but this is a pet hate of mine within the game. If someone wants to troll the team like that then they can expect me to troll them back. It wasn't like I got them shot, there as no enemy near by, I didn't team damage them. I simply shoved them out after politely calling them a camper. He should have gone off and done what a med should be doing on that map.

Surprise surprise afterwards... a 44% winrate player with about 20k battles :rolleyes:

We were on the side where 50% of the team seem to just drive up the hill and camp the whole game. Not sure of the exact bush, was over to the right. I didn't intend to snipe from there, he just shouldn't of been up there in the first place.

Aslans mod but deleted the xvm folder, still get the hit log at the top, the minimap last spotted locations and the remaining health log

I think we've all done this at some point. I've actually pushed an idiot off that hill into the abyss below on one occasion before (and I'm not the only one..)

It's not right by any means, however, it can be so frustrating when a tank sits there which is not, in any way whatsoever, suited to the role. Yeh, maybe it ruins their game, however, they're potentially ruining the game of many others by being there.

You have proved to me you don't read what others say. You simply form a black & white opinion and assume that your opinion is right without looking further into the situation.

I clearly stated people should play the roll of the tank they select. Please show me where I have said a TD should scout the enemy? :rolleyes:
 
I think DelBoys point is that the KV4 decided to be judge and jury about how everybody should play the game.

People don't do what the KV4 wants and he decides to shoot them/push them out/bump them.

To be fair that is exactly what you did !

I think I'm going to drop this now, it's getting boring. There is simply no justification in bullying other tanks just cos they don't want to play the way you think they should. Random battles will always have idiots, we all have to just accept it.

Understand the frustration mate, and yes you are correct, but theres no need to resort to being a douche. You cant expect PUB sunday drivers to respond to changes on the battlefield, or even in some cases move and yes they will sit in dumb spots (my favourite is when you get set in a nice ambush spot in a TD and some asshat heavy sits next to you or worse, right behind you and wants to be your best mate).

Just highlight their error in chat and get on with it. Its not worth infringments which might result in a ban however satisfying.

How is it much different? I wasn't doing what the KV4 driver wanted me to do so he started shooting me to prove a point. The medium driver wasn't doing what you wanted him to do, so you pushed him down the hill - both douche bag moves that were not necessary if you ask me - excuse me for forming a black and white opinion but those two actions seem fairly similar to me.

What you have proven to me is that you think your actions are completely justifiable.

of course it is a black and white opinion on this matter there isn't an in between, you aren't meant to shoot/push your team mates because they dont do exactly what you want. you have said you were justified, most people have said the opposite, there are only two sides to this arguement. there isn't anything to consider, he didnt shoot you or ramm you constantly, he was just playing the game, he may not have been playing correctly but tell him that, dont be judge and jury and decide he must be punished instantly for doing something wrong.

So let me get this right. A KV4 which is well known for it's pretty decent armour and inaccurate gun, decides a TD, a tier higher, which does more damage, with a more accurate gun, but is not known for it's armour needs to go and spot for him and calls YOU the donkey?

He's formed the same black and white opinion as you, just the OTHER side of it.

I can understand the frustration. I don't think I've ever pushed out anyone, except a scout who kept blocking me (I pushed him off a cliff), but that was repeated douchism (new word :p), but still, if they aren't actually harming you, call them an idiot, or better still be nice to start with - point out what their role is, and try and find somewhere else to sit. No need to ruin their game.
 
Was defrag in the right place for his tank (probably, not watched the replay). Was the pershing in the right place? No. Thats the difference. Im not siding either way but it isnt the same situation
