Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [23 - 25th November 2013]

Couple of intersting points in yesterdays TAW regarding our CM pairing of Lucas/Gerrard and the amount of yellows Lucas in particular is picking up. Essentially the only other time he has picked up this amount of yellows was when he was alongside Charlie Adam, they aren't comparing Gerrard to Adam just in the amount of work Lucas has to do to compensate for his partner not doing his share.

Gimps more clueless than me then and he's annoying. For the others, I never really took notice of what you write, never mind remember what you actually wrote weeks ago. Get a life maybe?

To be fair, they didn't bring in a single player I can look at and think "wow, he's not good enough". Their problem is that none of their players complement any of the others.

They have a striker who's great at poaching, but play wingers who take men on and shoot (or, in Lennon's case, run the ball out of play). They have Eriksen who can create, but nobody behind him capable of getting the ball to him, and nobody ahead of him capable of getting onto his through balls. And they really need two new full backs.

When did I say that?

Tottenham did sign some very good players & I remember saying it will be interesting to see how they line up, but I don't think I said anyone did ~the best business.

Await someone to tell me I'm wrong.
 
There was definitely a big debate over it after a few Mancs(?) took exception to somebody saying it. Can't remember if it was Tummy though.

I like Soldado, on paper that's a great move for Tottenham but we all know football isn't played on paper, will be interesting to see how Tottenham line up this season .

I think Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United & Liverpool are all more than capable of getting a top four spot. Don't spend all your effort bitching about who's got the better squad, (remember that mental Spurs fan who claimed Spurs had the second best squad in the League years back? ) just enjoy what is going to be a fantastic twelve months of football!

I think there are a number of other clubs that are going to be seriously looking at a top ten finish too, so yeah, can not wait to watch more football this season.

I looked through my posts, and could't see me saying that had Tottenham the best transfers in the summer.

Andy hasn't posted anything, so err yeah, they were the only ones I found :confused:.

Annnd this is why I post in here less :).
