i'm way out of the loop on downloading games. is the reason people are wanting bigger storage because the downloaded games are dumped to the ps4's hd or do they become stored in the 'cloud'?
is upgrading the hd something that involves taking the ps4 apart or can it be a usb job?

All games not just digital get cached to hard drive, so once you have a few games that are between 10-40GB and a few films etc 500GB will soon be full. Obviously you can delete stuff but for the cost of 1TB drive its worth it imo

Will any standard hard drive fit? Is 7200 RPM ok for the PS4?
I have to say, looking at that games list, I'm still not over the moon. Apart from Infamous and The Witness, there's nothing there that I'm jumping about with joy for. I might end up waiting til Christmas 2014 for my PS4. LOL.
Urgh amazon customer support is pretty pointless did the trade in Fifa 14 current gen and upgrade for £10 to next gen yet I didn't get the promotion (I did one and messed it up cancelled it and re did it) on the one I cancelled it says eligible for promotion on the one I sent it doesn't and they paid Me but not the additional £22 for upgrade and basically it's like pulling teeth explaining and they said wait 48hr grr.
Most 2.5" will fit and 7200rpm will be fine.

John lewis aren't doing pre-orders so if you order at midnight release you can get it delivered by monday.

Same sentiment, mine should arrive on launch day but that list of games is pretty uninspiring, looks like a lot of average titles other than Destiny, Infamous and hopefully The Witness.
I already have an XB1 and may just sell the PS4 (they are in short supply in NZ) and get the Infamous bundle in Feb/March or even just wait until next Christmas
Quite glad I got a Wii U, has some cool titles rather than the regurgitated stuff that seems to be making up most upcoming XB1/PS4 releases
Only Titanfall and Infamous have me excited about next-gen and paying for a console to play one game is a bit stupid even if my inner geek wants them!

Nice post, tbh looking at the list. The only game I'm really interested in is the Killzone launch title. I've been caught up in the launch hype and really want one Friday, but at the same time, there's nothing else I'm remotely interested in and the ones I am I would get it on PC anyway... I think the fact that it is hard to get one is making me want one even more lol.. My head is telling me to wait until later in 2014, but my inner child self is telling me must buy at launch and play Killzone

Same here, it's quite ironic that for all Sony are pushing the PS4 as "for gamers" it actually has a weaker line-up than the XB1 or Wii U in my opinion. There are more games listed than other platforms but the quality doesn't seem to be there yet.

I wouldn't have even bothered getting one for launch if I wasn't a diehard FIFA nerd

Yes. I have been using one in my PS3 for about a year and just taken it out to fit in PS4 when it arrives....
