I am going to place a bottle of e-liquid inside my HIFIMAN HE-400 headphones and play a frequency sweep from 20-35khz for 30 minutes and see if this works on the principle that people use ultrasonic cleaners to steep e-liquid quickly haha.

I just order ahead and let juice rest. Nothing worse than running out, which has only happened to me once!

My Spinner ran out and I have to use the EVOD fixed voltage battery at the moment.... Back to the burnt taste and no flavour from the liquids.... Makes me wonder why people would want to get a mech mod without a variable voltage in it.... For me it is night and day difference with VV.

The type of people that use mech mods also tend to be using rebuildable atties that they can setup just how they want. I'm not sure why but this thread has more mech and rebuildable types than you'd think. It might be just that people that like tech are more likely to like playing with things? Also they type of people that find something they like and just stick to it doesn't need to post as often asking advice after they are setup.

I've never used a mech myself but I've been around the vape scene about 3-4 years I think so that is what I've picked up.

Cheers for the info Yas :). How many coils do you do with 32AWG wire? Luckily enough that size happens to be what I have.

Do you think you could post a picture of your build next time you finish a coil and thread the cotton? I'd just like to see it all setup before the atty is fully assembled so I know what to for. I'm like a child, I still need picture instructions. :p

Milky, send me a Trust message - I have a Microcoiling Kit that will be of great use to you - I can also include a Greigster's Coil Buddy, which is excellent for both microcoiling and regular coils around silica. It includes a selection of different resistance A1 Kanthal Wire & Ribbon, varying diameters of Metric threaded Stainless Steel bolts (M1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 & 4.0), with enough pure, organic cotton to last you a good while. Ask Yas for his thoughts.

Yas - I'm sorry I've forgotten to send out the 25AWG Kanthal - I shall post it as soon as I get a chance! :)

Well on a 32awg kanthal wire with a m3 screw, i do around 3 wraps to get 1.6-1.8ohms, anymore wraps and i get around 1.8ohms+ which isnt too bad in all honesty.

Ill try to get a picture up but as long as your coils are touching each other ie use a blowtorch, heat the coils up till they glow then take a pair of tweezers or pliers and squeeze together. Do this a few times till the coil is tight then just get some cotton wool, squeeze or roll it till you can thread it through the coil. The cotton should be just able to move inside the coil ie dont make it too thin or too fat otherwise you will get wicking issues. Cut the ends off but make sure you have enough just to touch the bottom of the deck on the KFL but not too much it blocks it.

Really is quite simple mate, theres a video on uk vapers that shows exactly how its done.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKIJFkOddts

Watch that video, its how i learned to do it.

No worries Red, ive got so much kanthal now i dont know what to do with it lol.

@Yas - sorry, not 25AWG (that'd be like trying to coil a coat hanger!) 0.25mm - it's slightly lower res than the 32awg (0.2mm), allowing more coils and therefore more contact on the wick, for the same ohms as the 0.2mm - gives a better vape (IMO).
I have your address - I'll send it out when I'm next at the post office, it's no bother :)

Umm...yeah...Send us a PM and I'll get back to you later on in the day, heading to bed ready for work in 8 hours...

can you post a pic of the magnets in the nemesis mate i want to see how snug they are? thanks pal

Just trust me where you want them posting and I'll wack 'em in an envelope and send it to you. They should go in a normal envelope/ first class stamp if I enclose them within some paper I would have imagined.

If you trust me today I'll get them in the letterbox first thing in the morning.

I'll take a top down pic of them fitted into the button tomorrow.

ugggghhhh

I am so crap at my AGA-T2.

I'm getting to be a dab hand with my drippers, perfectly happy with what I can do with .32 and .20 wire and cotton/silica in them.

Crap at SS mesh, tried quite a few different builds in the genny with mesh, cotton, silica, just can't really get the hang of it.

Really hope my Kayfun 3.1 clone sorts me out (finally shipped yesterday by singapore post, hurrah!) for a tank I can get on with.

Considering trying a carto tank too, they seem cheap to get set up with.

FT shipping is such a joke recently. I've been waiting 26 days for one order, all of which were showing in stock. FT sat on the order for ~7 days and it's been showing as dispatched to overseas for ages. If they ever sort out shipping (wouldn't mind paying a few $), everyone else would be in trouble

e: no batteries on this one either

They shipped my Nemesis clone ages ago, sat in the post office (so they tell me) for ages. Got a message saying it'd been returned to them and they were going to refund me. I replied that I'd rather they just shipped it again but by Singapore post... two days later my money turned back up. Grr.
