Just out of interest whats the consensus on here about "Clones" ?

I personally dont have a problem with them. Not all of us can afford the higher end mods or if we can they are incredibly hard to get hold of most of the time. I do disagree with a 1:1 copy of mods/atties as they usually include the original makers markings and such, but even if the "Cloner" made small changes I dont see the problem personally. I know lots of peoples argument is that the original maker has put a lot of work/time into creating these only for someone to come along and nic their ideas or designs but lets face it there are only certain ways that a tube can be made that holds a battery and a fire switch.

Varies from user to user, most people here tend to be down to earth and will actually admit the clones are good if they are infact so but still will buy the real thing should they want to give money to the person who designed it.

I personally think the chinese are so and sos for doing a direct clone of the nemesis and Kayfun however.... The original builders make these items extremely expensive and make it unobtainable to most people.

I have a kayfun lite original and a kayfun 3.1 copy. Admittedly they're slightly different versions yet the clone which is a fifth of the price I paid is better than the original!

Forgive my poor grammar this evening, I've been drinking salted caramel vodka which is on offer at waitrose :)

A clone, fine. A counterfeit (i.e a direct ripoff including trademarks/brands), not so fine - but both to be expected from the Chinese...

A UK "Modmaker" Frankensteining the Cobra Ti Hybrid and the iHybrid Pure and passing it off as his original work and charging over £200 (including the 3.4% PayPal fees he's not allowed to pass on to the customer) - bloody disgusting.

Personally, I don't really care for knock off logos/fake serials. That's just ******. The fact you can buy some clones which are as good as the original, or there abouts, for sometimes around 10% of the price, tells you there is something wrong with the markup the original maker wants, imo

the nemesis clone is as good as the original, so why spend 130 on a real one. the only difference is that the logo is laser etched on the clone and engraved on the real one.

im glad the caravela has been cloned because the original creator pedro is not a very nice guy to deal with, he is so far up his own ass his eyes are brown so im glad the caravela has been covered.

As far as clones go, I don't like them, only ever had 1 and that wasn't so much a clone but a copy on the idea and that was an rsst, my girlfriend didn't realise it wasn't a genuine item, she saw me eyeing it up for a few days bless her, as far as this clone hammer goes, it's identical with improvements to the contacts instead of plain brass, they are silver plated through out the mod, the engravings will be getting removed in the next week or so, and top cap flattened down to remove the pattern.

I see the point of them, and I understand why people buy them, the real ones are so hard to get at times its just not feasible, as long as people don't pass them off as legit ones there isn't much of an issue, as posted you can only design a tube so many ways before they all start to look similar in certain ways.

When it comes down to it is if you measured the resistance along the mod to the atti the real one would be better.

Small things matter to some people, and ive held both myself and the quality is better in the original.

However the clone is perfectly fine and damn good as everyone else has come to agree. I have no problem buying clones as some of the high end mods are stupidly expensive man.

Bought an Ithaka, my first type of this breed of atty. It took me a while to get my head around it. It is moderately fiddly to coil but it's worth the effort - It's a really juicy warm vape (@1 ohm dual coil) just how i like it. I bought a GP Paps Lux with 18500 tube to go with it (not too big nor small) but the batteries aren't here yet so I stuck on my Sigelei 20 for now.

I don't know him personally, but from what I seen and read he seems to be a right money grabber.

Does anyone want to buy some of these Joosejuice 10ml samplers from me? I got a bit carried away and bought about 15 of them, I bought them in 50/50 pg/vg and 18mg nicotine but I find that 18mg is hurting my throat at the moment and I do not really get on with the higher VG, so maybe someone wants to buy some of them for a cheap price? They cost me £1.50 each + postage so I will sell you 8 for £10 delivered if you want? You can paypal me £10 and I will post them to you. Also they have been sat on my shelf for a few days so they will be steeped already :)

lol i bought 15 bottles last week, very cheap ( i take it you dont like them yeah lol) i have yet to try any yet im letting them steep

I have not tried all of them, some of them I like the taste and some I don't but for some reason 18mg high VG hurts my lungs so I want to stick to 70/30 12mg from now on, I bought them all at 18mg 50/50.

Do you mind listing the flavours?
And just be wary how you package them - not just to avoid leakage, but (iirc) 3 x 10ml bottles costs 90p to post, any more than 3 and it's small parcel @ £3!

(I only say this so you don't get a nasty sting at the Post Office and end up too out of pocket :))

Where I've found myself stuck indoors the past week, I've been using my dual nanocoiled Igo-W (1.3ohm overall) - it's so tasty, reliable and easy to whip out and change the cotton to switch flavours.
My AGA-T2's rubber insulator on the +ve post's top has severed - shorting out the 1.7 ohm microcoil and burning through the cotton wrapped mesh wick;
My attempt at a homemade RSST hybrid kit for the Sigelei 19b has been of some success, but the SS rope wick setup keeps causing the resistance to fluctuate between 1.2 & 4.7 ohms. And the JB Steamworks Chamber Reducer causes major juice leakage...
My AGA-TD I've turned into an Auto-feeding Dripper needs recoiling and the cotton replacing, which requires complete deconstruction to do...

So I'm left with a dripper & the Aspire BDC at the moment - but I'm still vaping and enjoying what I can actually use.
Just need an evening to recoil everything else so I can have more choice in what juices I vape....

Still rolling along though :D

Dual nanos on an igo w sounds awesome. I have a clone, and it is fundamentally flawed compared to the real deal. The posts don't have holes to pass the legs through, so wrapping around the top screw always makes it tricky to get the coil placement right, and it only has one air hole, which is a major issue for dual coiling. Still miles better flavour than the nova I was using previously!

I am pretty happy with my setup... You may sneer at it compared to these high end mods but I am a person who cannot stand tacky things and to me this looks nice and feels very well made... works well and cost only £35...

mini_protank_ss.jpg

That was the second set-up I bought (after the £10 CE4) and I still use it at work now and then, the protank mini is really good value and you can coil the little inserts once they are tired and make them good as new - for pennies.
I have had a few different things since then and started making my own juices but I'm always looking for new hardware and juices - I've spent far more thanI would have on cigs in search of that 'perfect set-up'.
