Why don't people pre-order these things? Surely you knew you would want one and that it would be out of stock?

Even if you didn't want it you could still just reserve it at places.

They've taken a note out of Microsoft's book there. Essentially locking down the console, unless you're on PS+ or Xbox Live.

I'm a subscriber so not the end of the world for me. I like looking forward to seeing what free games i'm getting every month.

The ps4 is far from locked down without plus compared to the One without live. You can still access all the media apps and internet features without Plus and even play free to play games online, the only aspect "locked out" is the online multiplayer for regular retail games. Xbox on the other hand requires live for absolutely everything, including the internet browser which is a bit of a joke.
 
Juat completed my first game 100% Contrast!

A few questions though;

1: What do the yellow stars next to peoples names with the number inside them signify?

2: What are the four white globes next to each achievement meant to represent? Sometimes only one is lite up... other times a couple or all of them.

3: Lastly is there anyway to organise your friends list I.e real life friends, family, OCUK people etc?

1) Think its like a Trophy Level type thing. The more you earn, the higher level you become.

2) Thats the rarity of the Trophy. Some are common all the way up to ultra rare. The percentage shows the amount of people who have played the game that have got that trophy.

3) Not yet.
 
Ah brilliant so the white globes basically just relay the same information as the text next to it?

Thanks for that. Hopefully the friend organising will come soon. Its hard knowing whos who with forum name, real name and user name to consider lol.
 
Killzone...Getting there :p Chapter 9. Quite hard some of these chapters but so good. The graphics are superb, almost as if youre there. Looking forward to completing this week and moving on to something new.

Just a quick Q, anyone elses PS4 freeze for a second at anytime? My graphics have froze twice now since having it.... As if its buffering almost for a split second. Might just be the heavy use of killzone?

Edit, yeah you described it better, as a slow motion second of the frame. Ill keep an eye out on it then. Otherwise all good.

So I've started playing Knack...yup I know...and while it is a generic on rails adventure it's fairly fun and bloomin' frustrating in terms of difficulty at times (playing through on Hard). The graphics are good, nothing special so far...Mario 3D World does look fantastic to this in comparison and prefer the look of that.

Killzone and Fifa to come, 2nd controller arrived today also.

Before coming upstairs I had a quick blast at Rezogun :eek: Amaaaaaaaazing :D Don't really know what's going on but I enjoy it :p
 
Loving all the free games on this system, having not gotten in to depth with the ps3 in my brief ownership this is all new to me. Cracking bonus to a great system!

Downloading blacklight now but i don't think i will get on too well with it, not a fan of fps on a joypad really but hey ho its free so why not.

My wife who doesn't have a gold account can access IE, Youtube, 4OD, Machinima without an issue on the Xbone.

Some of the features are no doubt locked out (haven't tried them all, but the above are all ok.
