It was never going to suck (unlike Forza5) though was it 
Thats a quite confusing review. The reviwer said it was broken, but brilliant. The review reads like he was going to give it a 6 or 7, but instead it gets a 9. Im slightly confused

Sure......Forza 5 is much more enjoyable than this.
I mean how hard is it to make decent engine noises?
I am basing my opinion on playing the actual game myself.
Yes I appreciate Goodwood/Brands Hatch, but this game is just quantity (car wise) over quality.
Don't quite understand how EG gave GT6 a /10. they see, to hate it in their review.

Got mine yesterday, after not seeing any footage or reviews. I'm sure others will say other wise, but I was not impressed. Felt like GT5.1, not a new game at all - some of the car duplicates were just stupid. I was a HUGE fan of GT5, and the series as a whole, just not of this.
Yeah I know, Forza 5 has 200 fully detailed cars, people moan. GT6 has 1200 cars carried over from previous games with updates, people moan. Can't win either way. A lot of the 'standard' cars have been improved, the addition of some very good tracks has made it a worthwhile purchase for me. Hopefully the menu system will be better than it was in GT5.

For the PS4 game they really need to drop standard models (cut out all the crap 50 versions of the Eunos Roadster and other such cars) and focus on decent/historic cars modelled to an insane level with epic engine sounds (see Forza 5 for how to do engine sounds properly).
But I've spent hours on GT5, and this is is exactly the same as that just with a new menu overlay.
GT6 is just too ambitious for the people they have working on the game.
I'd rather have a selection of cars that interest me and I want to drive nearly all of them vs 10+ versions of a car I have no interest in driving, it's not like you can tell any difference between all the versions or see how they drive any differently.

To me how it plays and the car Dynamics are more important than how it sounds.

I am slightly confused as to why you even bothered buying it if you weren't fussed about the new cars/tracks? Did you notice an improvement in the standard cars over GT5?

Me too, everyone knew what to expect from it.
On that note I'm off finishing early to get back on it, I'll be on it all weekend.

Why does it still have rolling starts? that always bugged me i wish it wasnt that way
Rumoured to be a performance issue, all the tyre smoke at the start with the amount cars caused frame rate issues.

Same for GT5? i cant remember if 4 or becore were also rolling starts?
Tis a shame but if it had to be that way i suppose it solves a problem
