If they were truly ambivalent, one wonders why they feel the need to make a post? I'm ambivalent about a lot of threads in the forum, and you'll struggle to find a single post on mine in them.

What powers, or what say does the queen actually have these days?
Would be called: Diary of a true benefit scrounger
Are you really that ignorant or are you just lying for political reasons?
The UK makes a big profit from the queen. She supports us, not the other way around.
The diary of Queen Victoria, aged 13: 40,000 pages of monarch's journals launched online by great-great-granddaughter Elizabeth
Wrote diary from 1832 until her death in 1901
Entry from January 1843: 'Wrote in my journal, which I am vain enough to think may perhaps some day be reduced to interesting memoirs'
Journals illustrated with sketches and paintings, also online, by Victoria herself
Launch timed to coincide with the 193rd anniversary of Victoria’s birth
Six-month project carried out to mark Diamond Jubilee
That's clearly not true the tourism argument has been beaten time and time again, **** the queen and her family bunch of parasites

I find this kind of response odd (though I realise you're a frog and so hate our royal family) coming from you of all people in GD.
Whether or not you like the person or what she represents, she must have led an incredibly interesting life, met some of history's most important, famous, notorious and interesting people, and lived through some of the most defining periods of time of our history. How could that not be worth reading (assuming decent penmanship!)?
I dunno... People interested in the experiences of the longest serving statesperson alive today. Someone who was integral to many of the biggest events in history of the modern UK , from coronation to dissolution of the empire and many more.
Even a staunch republican must be able to see there is a massive historical benefit in that even if you don't support the monarchy...
Well her two grandchildren have served in the military, one rescuing a fair amount of people, how many lives have you saved? Everyone of them has contributed more to this country than you have, I'm fairly certain of this
I'm not a Royal fan either, but to suggest they have no benefit to this country is idiotic.
Military worship is getting oldthey have done nothing there either except getting rank they didn't earn!
