Bloke uses our road as a Car Park

Keying is off the cards, don't worry posters.

For those saying it's not a problem, sure I do see your point and understand that whilst it's only one car - what if the problem were to grow and more and more people parked their cars outside people's houses for days on end?

There is not much you can do, if notes not working then not without resorting criminal damage which I suggest you don’t.

I guess you can block the car in on Thursday, forces him/her to knock on the doors to be let out and then talk to this person.

I wonder if the OP and friends would be this upset if it was a Vauxhall Corsa or something. You do wonder.

If you are suggesting that just because he has a BMW that I have an issue, then no seeing as I drive a Merc.

Don't stoop to vandalism. Just see if you can catch the guy when he is parking/leaving and speak to him, instead of writing silly letters.

Maybe have a quite word with him when you see him? or rather, the neighbors whom it actually affects should.

If he knew how much it was annoying people he might just park elsewhere from then. I would...

Failing that... deal with it I suppose

It's not illegal, there's no parking restrictions in place, there's no resident's permits required. Unless the deeds for your house cover the road outside too, it's tough really.

If it's really a big problem and the residents are happy with raising this with the council, do this, rather than vandalising someone's property. Someone who is legally entitled to park on the road.

As for those suggesting vandalism, car vandals are scum of the highest (lowest?) order.

Or you could just speak to the person if it's really causing you that much bother...

I'd welcome to the opportunity to talk to him and I'm definitely not against doing so, just trying to catch him is hard work as I never see him.

Is it bad that when walking home late one night last week I was tempted to key it as I walked past?

WOW!

:(

Keep an eye on the car 24/7 instead of drinking cheap booze and playing on the xbox.

:p

It's a nice enough car. Might increase the market value of your property having it nearby. Give him £20 the next time you see him.

Your road is it? Is it a private road then? If it is, then I guess you could get it towed, otherwise if its a public highway, suck it up as you can't stop anyone from parking there if it doesn't have parking restrictions.
