I watched Milton Jones last night on a stand up he did, was terrible

He is great as a guest on things but on his own thing it is not so good.

he basically was funny as part of a sketch show that was 16 years ago. think thats what johny vegas was getting at there are tons of funny people who wont get a chance because of unfunny people like him and the majority of bbc3 type comedians have tv sown up.

is he as funny as people like stephen fry , rowan aktinson , rick mayall ? those kind of people are funny and in a different league. basically dross tv medium budget and you get the comedians we get.

they better off looking and trying new comedy.

Paul Whitehouse is widely regarded as being one of the finest sketch show comedians and writers.

Making way for new content for it's own sake is how we got into this mess of Jack Whitehall, Sarah Millican and that utterly dreadful oxygen thief Miranda dominating the TV listings on a Saturday night.

Johnny Depp said that he thought Paul Whitehouse was one of the finest actors/comedians ever due to the sheer variety and dedication he can put into different roles. I would probably agree, he has a fantastic variety in what he can do as characters.

Standup kings = Richard pryor, Eddie murphy, Dave chappelle, George carlin and Bill hicks. Jack whitehall is not funny to me... maybe i've been ruined by the comedians afforementioned.

Whilst he is ok, no way the best in Britain. Not even close.

Kevin Bridges, Micky Flanagan and that scouser (cant remember his name) are all significantly better / funnier with Bridges leading the pack for me.

They are funnier but still awful.

Yea, when he first came on to the scene he was very funny (well I though so anyway). But agree his latest stuff has been a bit meh.

Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey and Stewart Lee.

These are the only ones that actually make me laugh, but as someone else pointed out Comedy is so subjective.

I know someone how thinks Tim Vine is a genius

hes that widely regarded hes doing insurance adverts for his main income thats how regarded he is !

just cause depp was in a sketch on his show whats he going to say ? most actors are nice about each other.

also if hes that great name the shows or great performances hes done since the fast show ? hes a dinosaur, hes not fresh or funny.
