I would say that sounds quite positive.

If you check your order status in the Device section of the Google Play Store it will hopefully soon advise you that your Nexus 5 has in fact been despatched. :)

Surprise surprise...the battery life on the N5 is actually pretty decent. Had the phone using 3G data all day and whatsapp'd quite a bit, surfed the internet and by the time I got home around 2230 there was 58% battery left. Mind you this is on Franco Kernel v20

I was out in a bar with my Mates and the N5 took some pretty decent pictures, it was quick to focus and snap. Whereas on my friends S4 it was slightly laggy and the time to focus and actually take a picture took 2-3 seconds.

Do you just mean the larger speaker holes and possibly slightly 'stiffer' buttons, or is there something else we should be looking out for as well?

Is there actually a new hardware number displayed anywhere, or some easier way to actually tell one from t'other?
 
I got my replacement Nexus 5 through yesterday just one day after ordering. I did NOT get the V2 with bigger speaker holes and different buttons. The new device after updating to 4.4.2 still has excellent signal and is working great. The old one which is going back, has a fault with the signal making it so weak as to be unusable unless in a very very high signal area and even then is poor.

Just got google music all installed for the first time on her device and she's loving it. Cloud everything now really so I went with the 16gb to save cash.
 
Reports on XDA state that the new holes on the speaker are not changing the volume at all anyway. So if your phone doesn't rattle then you have no difference between the versions.

Got mine delivered this morning and my only gripe so far is I was denied the joy of peeling off the original plastic protective coat as it was off eBay.

Very light, not sure what I was expecting but much much lighter, screen is excellent just as I was expecting after using my 7

Very fast after coming from an xperia play which was never the fastest phone anyway but is now my potable emulation machine.

So far initial impressions are very good but only time will tell if they will stay high...they have done on the 7 so I expect to enjoy it for a while.
 
Looks like I won't be getting it before Christmas. Originally ordered on the 29th November 2013. Got canceled and wallet account suspended. Despite various Documents submitted and pictures of my card sent...they refuse to verify let alone just reply. Really disappointing.

on the bottom of the box the phone came in it says the model for mine is LG-D821. Not sure but I think I remember seeing a LG-D820 somewhere. Maybe that?
