Dieting: Am I doing it right?

Just to add my 2p, make sure you're well hydrated before exercise. I find that makes more of a difference than what I eat the hour before. Coffee and something a bit sugary helps immediately beforehand too, but to a lesser extent in my own experience.

Well done on your progress so far!

Thanks for the tip, will keep it in mind!
This is something I actually have to improve on as I have a habit of drinking less than 2 litres of water a day!

On another note...
Yesterday I had training. As agreed I did not take the 'protein bar', instead I took a large mug of coffee 30 mins before...

This may well be placebo effect, but I felt good and not tired at all...

Will continue doing it for the next few times and see how I progress!

Water-wise, just drink enough that your urine is clear.

I don't think it has to be clear, a very light yellow is fine too.

If you drink too much it can be bad for you.

I don't know how much of this is true, but I have noticed since I started drinking a lot of water that I get regular headaches and cold hands/feet. Before my feet used to be the other way around and were too hot.

You're doing very good, i have opposite issue, i am losing weight very slowly but my bodyfat has gone down a lot.I am eating 4 times a day with a lot of protein but i eat at 8-9pm latest too.

Was told to eat a lot less bread and drink a lot of water as water flushes out fats from the body too a PT told me but not sure if that's true guess it could be as it seems logical.

I was 92kg when i started 3 months ago now 88kg(i am near 6 foot 2 so seems decent)....but my bodyfat was 31% now 20.9% last measured.Going to drink more water to help reduce the weight i guess.

Please shoot your PT. You will be doing the 'fitness' world a favour.

Clear and colourless are 2 very different things.

A litre of lucozade sport is magic on a hangover... would probably work well pre-workout too! You don't need to drink water until you're hyponatraemic, but more than 2L on a workout day would be preferential.

Yeah i thought it was wrong lol doesn't seem right...nah he isn't my PT thankfully. :p

I am drinking about 2 litres a day usually seems about right.(been off fizzy drinks for around 6 months now, has made a big difference)

Can you make up a low calorie or even a low cost home made electrolyte drink?

Any recipes?

Bag of electrolyte powder from one of the bulk suppliers costs nothing and you only need to use a tiny amount it's hardly worth the effort of trying to make your own.

Hi guys,

As agreed I've been taking coffee before workouts and it's working out pretty well.

As I said before, I need to start taking some Omega 3 capsules and I was wondering what to take.

I have these at home atm so I could start taking them tomorrow morning, however I don't know if they are any good:

Paradox Omega Capsules

I was planning on getting Omega 3 or Super Omega 3 or Omega 3 6 9 from MyProtein.

Which one do you recommend for me? (Between all 4)

Thanks

Most people don't need Omega 6 and 9 supplementing, you just want O3 if you're not regularly eating natural O3 sources like oily fish etc.

I've got mine from Simply Supplements (the Super Strength one), Bulk Supplements Direct as well as MP, all much of a much as long as you get high strength stuff.
