Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

IMO the one thing we can't complain about is that this game isn't being supported, with 16 server updates and a number of client updates they are certainly trying, it just shows that the game was released in such a bad state that even after this amount of patches, it is still fundamentally broken.

Its why I haven't dropped the game totally and moved on, however the number of issues that are rooted in stuff fairly intrinsic to the basic game engine operation does not inspire me.

Tbf its running pretty ok for me at present. There are still a lot of issues that date back to bf3. Things like the reg issues and getting killed by scenery being a few.

One that annoys me almost more than the hit reg is when your shooting at something and realise the bullet impacts just to the side of you aren't infact enemy shooting at you but infact your own bullets and they aren't actually going anywhere but hitting some invisible extension of the scenery :( happens quite a lot on the hilly bits on Rogue Transmission if I'm prone and shooting - I'll have a clear line of sight but the rounds are still hitting the terrain just beside me :(

I don't know how many of you guys are aware of this or not but....In BF4 there is scope sway (from MOH WF worse game ever), this means your sight is only good for your first shot due to this ****** design choice. The best reason to attach a laser is that after your first shot, the sight is misaligned and only the laser is aligned. So use your laser as your aimpoint. It affect 1x scopes most and barely affects 4x and above.

Problem is laser is a dead give away - and I thank goodness for every player that fits one as it makes my life 10x easier to spot them coming heh. I had kind of figured it out but possibly making my frustration with hit reg worse (I'm mostly watching my shots land so its not just me complaining about hit reg coz I'm not hitting stuff due to bad aim :P).

Magnifier is way too useful for me to ever fit a laser anyhow unless I was going for hip firing which unlike COD has little merit even on locker in BF4.

Does this affect red dot scopes? As i tend to use theese on all assault/carbines. Only use x4 or more on sniper rifles.

Thanks for that, i used to use ACOG in bf3 a lot but it obscured to much to the side when ads, and slow for target acquisition. Hence moving to dot type scopes. Still think though that people in this game look much smaller in this no matter what fov you use.

This where I'm at. the magnifier worked so well on the M416.
then I tried using with the AEK. no way. Nexus helped, I dropped the magnifier but I didn't think it incurred a penalty?
Does the magnifier add a penalty to the weight of the rifle, if it exists?

p.s using Kobra sight.. just read bk..

That is because players in BF3 were 2.2 mtrs tall if you work out the math :D

Have DICE acknowledged the SLI bug yet or do we need a driver update

got 5 days off during the Xmas period and wanted to get in some quality play time...

Yes - a patch is due out tomorrow to fix the SLI bug.
