Any idea how long google take to issue a refund?

The money was set aside from my account, cancelled earlier today but still showing as no refund on my online banking.

How comes you're cancelling mate?

Looked on Gumtree earlier, £340 black nexus 5 32GB still sealed from google, receipt included, and only 15 minutes from my house, picking it up tomorrow. :)

Just unsure about taking the money out my account without the £350 refunded from google. :(

A lot of money in the space of a few days.

The google money will probably take a few days to appear back but it will come! No one sells anything as interesting as that on gumtree down here! Post back with your opinion please!

I've gone with a note 3 but tempted to cancel and go nexus 5 just for the instant updates!

When I cancelled my Nexus 4 last year it took 3 weeks to get the money back in my account and I had contacted google support numerous times asking why it was taking so long and never got a good answer.

I found the experience quite bitter as they were not supposed to take the money until the phone shipped but I cancelled after finding out I had a lengthy wait for the phone.

Hmm that doesn't sound promising! Tried giving them a call at half 8 but was on hold for 15 minutes so cancelled the call, 0800 off my mobile isn't cheap!

Is anyone disappointed with their Nx5? In thinking if upgrading from my GS2 in Jan. And thinking this would be a better budget choice compared to an GS4.

Very good question as i'm in the same boat with my S2.

I updated to an N5 from a GS2 at release and I can honestly say that it's a fantastic upgrade and well worth the (tiny amount of) money :)

The only thing it doesn't do better is work as a bedside clock, but that just gives me more incentive to find a decent DAB clock radio :)

Having had a GS2 previously I upgraded from a GS3. It's a good phone, but for me it does little new, it just does it all better. It's got a far better feel than either the GS2 or 3, but personally (and others seem not to agree), I find the corners dig into my palm quite a bit when holding one handed. Given that I seem alone in that, perhaps it's just the way I hold mine. Coming from the GS3, I do like the better grip its got - while the GS3 would happily accelerate from the hand/surface to an inevitably heavy fall, the slightly-rubberised feel of the N5 means it is going nowhere.

While the phone itself is obviously very fast and the battery exceptional, despite its size, I do wonder how much is the phone and how much the optimisation of 4.4.

Personally, I think I could have coped with a Kitkat-based GS3 just as well, but the N5 is definitely a better, more rounded phone, so any regret is small. Assuming 4.4 is available in a Cyanogenmod (or whatever) form, get it on your GS2 and see what you think - it might be enough to curb your upgraditis.

has anyone moved onto ART on their N5?

im tempted to give it a go as i have the 32gb version so i dont have any issues with space at the moment but getting mixed reviews about stability, i dont need a better battery at the moment but would be interested to see if it offers any noticeable improvement as coming from an Xperia Play i cant criticise the speed of the phone
