Right another noob to the party here! Known about vaping for a while and my friend purchased me a basic vape as a gift a couple of days ago Kangtech TS3 with a basic 950mAh battery from ifancyone.com plus some of their tootin juice bannaman flavour.

After about a day i may have just gone and got a kangtech pro 2 to go with the battery and a couple of other flavours still from the same place but 18mg, rollin virginia, vanilla custard and strawberry frost. Initial impressions are good but i'm really after a liquid that resembles the taste of rolling tobacco as closely as possible (I used to smoke cutters choice) and just any other good sources or things that I should consider.

All help is very muchly appreciated!

Hah, same here. Still have a nearly full 25g pack of it in the drawer, not used since tuesday since vaping.

I can't find a Cutter's Choice flavour juice, but just bought 3 rolling tobaccos which might get close. I probably won't get them till after xmas. There's 'Drummer' (also called 'Instrument') from Hangsen. Supposed to be very very nice, like proper rolling tobacco flavour, copying 'Drum' tobacco.

Try one of the tobacco flavours with caramel in it, its nice. The plain tobacco flavours do not really work that great with vapor, although I have not tried many so maybe some are good, the ones with caramel and vanilla or cocoa flavour in them taste nice.

Well I'm vaping on two different dekang tobaccos at the moment, and they're not rolling tobacco, just meant to be like normal cigarettes. Frankly, it's like vaping on an ashtray, no real flavour. Which is why I changed to roll ups years ago, because cigarettes became quite bland tasting to me. So I'm hoping these rolling tobacco flavours will be a lot better.
 
Anyone know how I could drill out a hole in one of these if I do not have a drill? Could I take it to a shop or something and get them to do it? I might get a RSST tank but I read the reviews it says you need to drill the airhole out on it for it to work well.

Seriously just stop buying Dekang it is not very nice at all compared to better companies, as someone said to me "it is like tesco own brand of eliquids"... Get something like Vapology eliquid or if that is too expensive buy a kit and make your own using Flavourart or Capella flavourings. Costs about £2-3 per 30ml to DIY it!

Lol, 22 x 50g? Wow man, that's some sacrifice you made there, well done! Yeah, it has a really nice aroma too! I found all rolling other tobaccos too strong. Cutter's Choice was the perfect strength and taste. I'm surprised there isn't a juice for it yet as Cutter's Choice is probably almost as popular as Golden Virginia.

Yeah, I will get round to trying some more expensive juices and I'm not buying any more Dekangs. These ones I've bought are Hangsen and the youtube reviews on one of them say they're very good. Also, I've read a lot of forums and lots of people say they like Hangsen, and also many like Dekang. Everyone has different tastebuds.

Mmm but probably the people who say that have not tried better ones. The Hangsen RY4 is supposed to be good though, not tried that. I think the best option is to buy a DIY kit from alchemists cupboard and also some capella flavourings from there, also go to Flavourart.co.uk and you can get 5 x 4ml flavour concentrates for £10... Mix them yourself and you can get it how you want and also it costs 20% of the price of ready made.

The RY4 is a regular cigarette tobacco flavour with caramel, so that doesn't interest me at the moment. I'm after rolling tobacco flavour, not filtered cigarette tobacco. The Hangsen one I linked for 'drummer' is a good starting point for me for rolling tobacco. I might just like it enough to be an ADV. If not, then yes, I'll start mixing. I can say this though, there's a site called OK Smokey with an Old Holborn rolling tobacco. Their juices are more expensive
but a review on the Old Holborn couldn't rave enough about it, he said it's not just like Old Holborn, it basically IS extract from Old Holborn, that's how authentic it is. So that might be my next place to shop at.

Cheers for the pointers Merlin, saw those links when you posted them earlier in the thread, i'll wait to hear which is best from you and move on from there.

I've only had the vape a day or two and have smoked a few rollies but no where near as many as I would have without, pretty sure I'm going to be happy with vaping if I can get the right combo. Pro Tank 2 seems good, guess I'll end up playing with variable batteries and maybe even coils in the near future...
 
I've been trying to sort myself out a good 'easy' setup for, specifically, a holiday I'm going on in January but also just for when I can't be bothered.

Been experimenting with recoiling PT and EVOD heads (going ok, got one on the go that's working pretty well at the moment).

Finally caved today and bought an MVP V2, and got an iClear 30b and 5 spare heads as well. I'm led to believe it comes with a 30b anyway but just in case I figured I'd get another one, they're only a tenner anyway.

Can't be doing with mechs and rbas and chargers and batteries on holiday, this way I've got it all in one box, stick the iClear or a mini PT on there and should be all set. Plus can charge a phone off it, bonus!

Duel fuelling as this is known isn't uncommon to start with. Got to remember that each rollie missed is for the good. This isn't like all or nothing like quitting normally is.

If you can adjust your thinking to just making yourself vape instead of smoke, it will stop being a decision and just become the thing you do, imo.

I've worded that badly. If you consider that you can have a fag or a vape, you may choose the fags. But if you just check yourself and make yourself have a vape instead, even if you do it way more often than you would have smoked, or vape it for 20 minutes at a time, it all just sort of works itself out. And before you know it you won't want a stinky :)

Importantly, don't berate yourself for continuing to smoke. Personally I found that I had to make the move, properly and finally, because of how I felt, but if you need to slowly slide through the transition by slowly swapping fags for a vape, then do that and don't worry. It'll just happen in its own time.

edit: LOL duel fuel I like that :D
 
Pardonthewait and Crowort cheers for the encouragement as said I believe I'll be fine as smoking was becoming a chore almost really want to cut ciggies out. Next purchases will be some more juice and probably a reasonable battery is there anything like the MVP P2 that is a more regular shape? Adjusting power while maintaining ease of charging and a non obtrusive size seems like a good idea.

Take a look at the ZMax. It has a variable tube so you can use smaller batteries. Probably best bang for buck variable tube mod out there.
