If you have slow download speeds change your server location. Just changed from London to Manchester and get arround 1mb/s instead of 6kb/s

I dont celebrate Christmas nor am i a Christian so it doesn't really bother me. However, seeing as its Xmas day the servers shouldn't be crashing..........i mean there can't be more people on steam today.

I don't recall seeing anything like this (2hrs+ of downtime) before though; in the past you'd sometimes get flaky connections around the time deals went live each day (6pm rush), or poor download speeds from some servers, but not an inaccessible store for hours on end.

I have just called Gabe on his mobile. I told him Frodo1805 doesn't celebrate Christmas.

He said he didn't know and is going to get the guys right on this.
