Folks in the know - How does the 2012 Nexus 7 stack up against the Hudl?

Are you sure about that? Have you used the memo pad or are you basing that from online reviews because although I did own the n7, I've read the memo pad is almost identical, both are made by Asus, but the n7 feels a bit more premium and the memo has a memory card slot.

Think you might be confusing it with the older Memo Pad mate. The £59 on offer is the ME137X, very similar to the 2012 N7.

Ah, the Memo Pad HD7, not the basic Memo Pad? That's a bit different then.

Just picked mine up now, and yep it's the 16GB Asus Memo Pad HD7 (ME173). Cost £59 which is a bargain. I just need a cheap 32gb card for it now and then I'm sorted.

You can't get a memo pad for £59 anymore though it's out of stock and the 5 day special deal will most likely expire before it's back in stock..

That leaves the nexus for 99 pounds as the best option.

Picked up 2 of these from CPW yesterday, one for myself and one for the better half.

Even at £69 it's a bargain. I was using mine last night and it is just as good as the original N7, except this also has a memory card slot. The build quality and screen are really good in my opinion. Does anyone know of a car mount that holds a tablet of this size?

That's still a good deal then, if your lucky enough to have a local tesco with stock.. Definitely worth checking.
